Good luck with the site issues.

Buxton up, Martin down (ninja'd by Squirrel).  I would say Hallelujah, not being a big Austin Martin believer as yet, EXCEPT, I believe it's the case that Buxton failed to get a base hit during his short stint at AAA.  All is not yet well, I fear.

Buxton can cover both center and right.

but doesn't that just make Buxton the Right Fielder? Not sure who is Center then, but i imagine it could be a short fielder and a deep fielder?

Or are the i field shift rules somehow extended to the outfield?

With Farmer, Margot and Vazquez in the lineup and the Twins already in one of their trademark offensive cold-spells, I'm afraid this won't be pretty. Probably be Cleveland 4-1 or 3-0 or something. Ober will pitch well enough to win, it'll be close late until Jackson gives up a 2-run double in the 8th and the Twins will go down weakly in the 9th. Buxton strikes out twice and doesn't reach base, Jeffers goes 0-for-4 and the air continues to leak from the Twins balloon.

His overall stats speak to how bad he was early, but Farmer is 8 for 24, plus three walks, since April 27. It works out to a .949 OPS.

Pretty tough to take seriously a team that bats Castro and Miranda 3 and 4.

With Manny Margot 6th.

Can you imagine the Dodgers, Braves, Yankees with a similar lineup?

Right after saying to myself how nice it is to have Perkins rather than Gladden as the color guy on the radio, Perkins is discussing Ober’s pitch count and says, “He’s hitting foul ball after foul ball after foul ball. That’s not a problem unless there’s two strikes.”

Glen, the way it works is that after a player hits two foul balls, it’s a given that any remaining foul balls will happen with two strikes.

38 pitches to get through the first inning, my goodness. I’ll put the Stooges back on I guess. Although this is some good slapstick, farcical comedy too
