Hawkeye Bean Counter Verified Member Posted May 9, 2024 Posted May 9, 2024 Lets just discuss the Trade Polanco - -.1 War Twins - Topa - still on the mend looks solid. He is likely our #3 or #4 reliever when healthy. Gonzalez - showing he can still hit at the A+ level can keep this up at AA will remain top 100 prospect. Bowen - Legitimately might be the best player out of the trade. His stuff looks nasty and he just looks like a solid confident pitcher out there. Yes its A+ ball but there is a lot to like there. Disco - as a throw in Cash Santana's (5.5 million contract) bat is slowly starting to warm up. Still solid defensively. With Kiriloff struggling again, very nice to have him. Better than Gallo immensely in my opinion. SwainZag and RpR 2

Schmoeman5 Verified Member Posted May 9, 2024 Posted May 9, 2024 So since the Mariners have struck out over 50 times in this series. I ask. Is it Twins pitching or are the Mariners just not that good at this time?

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted May 9, 2024 Posted May 9, 2024 5-2 homestand vs Boston and Seattle is quite acceptable. 7-13 when we woke up Monday, April 21. 22-15 as we go to sleep Thursday, May 9. Unreal. IndianaTwin, MMMordabito, Hawkeye Bean Counter and 6 others 7 2

Doctor Gast Verified Member Posted May 9, 2024 Posted May 9, 2024 I was impressed by Miranda. Known more as a slugger, has shown that he's also a hitter, a smart base-runner & not a bad 3Bman. wabene and Hawkeye Bean Counter 2

Schmoeman5 Verified Member Posted May 9, 2024 Posted May 9, 2024 So my follow up question is. Are the Twins hitters just that good? Or is Seattle's staff overrated? Gausman is going to want some payback Hawkeye Bean Counter 1

Every reliever on your staff is going to pitch important innings, with the game on the line. Baseball by it's nature results in lots of close games. There are low leverage situations. No low leverage relievers. Very illuminating!
Hawkeye Bean Counter Verified Member Posted May 9, 2024 Posted May 9, 2024 Staumont, primarily hung out at 94 mph with fastball but did hit 96 mph. That is encouraging. Hopefully can continue to ramp it up this summer.
