Yes, the regular season ends next Sunday. It will be quite the disaster for Houston if they miss the playoffs.

I would guess Kiriloff is dealing with injury, something is impacting his swing.   When he is good to go, he's a different batter.

I think he's the first guy out of the bullpen on Tuesday, no matter the situation. Or maybe the first guy out with a clean inning. The goal this week is to see whether they want to put him on the playoff roster.

Kiriloffs wrist is no where near where it needs to be to hit ML pitching. He's toughing it out with help from doc's. Don't think it'll ever be 100% again

Paddack was warmed up and coming in when the rain delay came.

He had been warming up and planning to come in before the rain delay. They went with Varland instead.

If Paddack's in the box score, I'm guessing that means he had been announced. He didn't pitch, however, so I wonder if a rain delay negates the requirement to face three batters or end the inning.

Looking further in the box score, he didn't throw a pitch?

 

I don't know, but it sounds interesting to hear how this worked out with edge cases of the rules...

Spend much time on Bear Lake? My wife and I had a great weekend with friend ins Cromwell, on Eagle Lake, I miss living in Minnesota.
