I posted this four weeks ago today:

I'd bet almost every MLB organization already has at least one good field/poor bat outfielder somewhere in its minor league system. So no team would give up anything for such a player, much less at Kepler's salary. This is especially true for a rebuilding team; a team like that would be much better off seeing what one of its minor leaguers could do. At this point I'm afraid Kepler is untradeable. And he's blocking better players who are on the rise. There's only one answer for Falvine and that's DFA.

Like all Twins fans, I am very happy that Kepler seems to have rediscovered how to hit a baseball.

This is a bit of a pet peeve of mine. His last name is Witt. The Jr. is part of his given name. But it has become standard practice throughout sports to erroneously include the Jr. on jerseys as though it was part of the last name.

The current Royals shortstop is Bobby Witt Jr. Bobby Witt Sr was a pitcher from 1986-2001 and pitched for many teams.

Given the gap of 20 years and the difference between a pitcher and a shortstop, the junior seems redundant in this case. With the Griffeys they were closer together and both outfielders. so it kind of made more sense.
