Seriously they gotta shake out their head gear and ashcan this jinx they have with bases loaded and SF situation.  And BL and SF situations in general.  Their production on that must shatter all records.

Is the Dahli Lama available for a team seminar?

Pretty generic. Can you be more specific?

(Not what a "self fulfilling prophecy" means, though).

Give me a break. My point stands. It is clear as day. You would leave Pablo in for 120 pitches? Good luck with that.

Pablo, our so called pitching savior we sacrificed Arraez for, now 2-3.

The Twins are mostly consistently competitive and seem to be working hard. The original guess of a 82-85 win total is looking accurate, good for an AL Central crown right now.

It looked good until September last year, and we ended up 14 games or so behind. But I agree. This is maybe a .500 team. You are your record.

I think I had them at about 85 wins ,,, hoped that maybe it would be higher after the first couple of weeks, but back down to reality.

I think the point is the hook was too quick. Maybe Lopez goes up to 110-115 pitches, but also there is a chance that the next pitch is a ground ball double play, too.

No way to know. It’s a hindsight call. It might have imploded, too

Obviously that is your opinion I just don't agree. Send a starter out to start an inning with around 100 pitches? If they walk the first batter and get pulled, I wouldn't call that a quick hook

His bat and ability to get on base is sorely missed.

In my glass half empty idea is they wanted to get rid of him before they had to pay him.  Basically we can’t have more than one good thing.

Not many good bats so not really his fault, right?

I would agree 100%. Arraez hitting leadoff for this team would be a significant improvement to the daily shuffle they have now

1. I am a huge Luis Arraez fan.

2. I make the trade every single time, 100%.

Me too Luis was so fun to watch and hilarious on camera behind the scenes. One of a kind, but yeah I'll take Pablo. I like what I saw from him today.

but not enough to leave him in for one more batter? 🙂

Ha ha yeah, but you know I never said I wouldn't have let him face one more batter. I said it wasn't a quick hook. I may have left him in, at that point it would come down to matchups etc, more data than I had at that moment. Same thing with pulling Jorge L in favor of DeLeon. That was a head scratcher for me that I would like explained to satisfy my curiosity. It worked though.

In real time, I thought Pablo should have stayed in the game.

If Pablo gets through the 7th, then you have Jorge for the 8th and Duran for the 9th. That’s what the thinking should have been, right there.

Had a chance to win most of these road games..Managed 2 of 6...More of the same.. Not down or up on the team. Meh...

Agreed. Too quick. My feeling as it happened, too. It is not a hindsight call to write about your feelings as they happened later. It was still one's call in real time. One more batter wouldn't have hurt, and he deserved it after his 6 previous innings. He certainly didn't deserve the other Lopez to blow it up. He was at 94 when he started the inning. Taken out at 101. The next batter was righty/righty for either Lopez. The wrong one got the ball. Middle middle. Couldn't have been served up more middle.

As I said earlier in the thread, I thought so, too. But you are guessing at a favorable outcome. It could have worked or could have been worse. All I’m saying is there is no way to know. It’s easy to second guess.
