Dick said Oakland's ERA is 7.97, and they gave up 8 runs this afternoon.

Isn't that exactly what one would expect?

Dick and ROY ? Couple of intellectual  Giants

Some nice baserunning from the Twins to start the game. Nice to see guys going first to third like that, and Gallo did a nice job legging out that double and scoring on the groundout.

Yeah, I can live with almost no stolen bases, if they take the bases they can like that.

In all my years, I don't think I have ever saw Jackie Bradley, Jr. get a basehit.

How does he keep getting chances ???

Well first, his forte is above average defense, and secondly, I exaggerated.

At the start of today's games, there were 175 batters that qualified with enough PAs to be in the Stat list of MLB.

Only 4 Twins qualified, and the default stat for ordering is now OPS. You had to go to the 4th page of 7 to find the first Twin, Larnach, at #85 and .746. Taylor was the next on the 5th page of 7 at #107 and .705.  Then Miranda on the 7th page, #152 at .628, and Correa at #159 of 175 and .608. No other Twins' hitters had enough PAs to even qualifiy,

That called strike was way suboptimal.

Greinke's been getting that call all night. Twins just finally decided to call the ump on it.

Big zone for both pitchers. I don't think the ump has missed a ball in the zone, but he's called a lot of them out of the zone.

Not for Mahle

I'm probably a little delayed, but it looks like Mahle's velo had creeped up striking out that last batter at 94. Good deal

Well Stewart is up in the bullpen so I'm worried maybe Mahle threw it too hard.
