I never said they were miracle workers and nowhere have I advocated such. I want the best team. If that means playing youngsters over vets? Then yes. If that means playing vets over youngsters? Then yes. You simply don’t want ANY young players.
MMMordabito Verified Member Posted April 19, 2023 Posted April 19, 2023 Lookin' like a cooked Kluber.
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2023 Posted April 19, 2023 Kluber, dirty payback to Eddie
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 19, 2023 Posted April 19, 2023 GO MIRANDA! MIRACLE WORKER! 😝
RpR Verified Member Posted April 19, 2023 Posted April 19, 2023 In modern times , what is the record for most batters hit in a row, or is two and you are done.
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted April 19, 2023 Posted April 19, 2023 Ka-BOOOOOOOOOM!!! He was looking for that pitch and executed! Love it.
RickOShea Verified Member Posted April 19, 2023 Posted April 19, 2023 That's why he is worth $11 milllion salary and 11 million strikeouts!
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2023 Posted April 19, 2023 Can’t keep this offense down for long 😉
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2023 Author Posted April 19, 2023 This version of the offense is more entertaining than last night's version.
cHawk Community Moderator Posted April 19, 2023 Posted April 19, 2023 I was wondering where the offense had gone.
RickOShea Verified Member Posted April 19, 2023 Posted April 19, 2023 Kluber's throw to first, was his best pitch (throw) so far tonite.

This source says 3, done multiple times. They are counting times by one pitcher, but I doubt another pitcher would come in and have hit someone. https://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/world-records/pitcher-hitting-the-most-consecutive-batters

The Twins appealed an error on a ball he hit in the opening series in Kansas City, and it was changed to a hit. Going from four hits to five in 18 at bats lifted him from .222 to .278. The “error” that was charged was on the Royals right fielder when the Royals were in the funky shift with the RF playing a similar position to where second basemen were playing last year. The right fielder bobbled the ball that got through the infield. He might have been able to throw Gallo out, but maybe not. I was surprised when it was ruled an error, now it is reversed.
RickOShea Verified Member Posted April 20, 2023 Posted April 20, 2023 Gallo's got 3 3-run homers so far this season, right? Is he leading in the 2023 Earl Weaver Award? I think so.
MMMordabito Verified Member Posted April 20, 2023 Posted April 20, 2023 Now we know what the opposition fans were enjoying when the Twins were sending Happ, Shoemaker, Archer and Bundy out every fifth day.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 20, 2023 Posted April 20, 2023 Joey Gallo, lumberjackin'... And a 3 run homer is really just about the ideal payback for Kluber hitting everybody but the Durham Bulls mascot. Yeah, it was probably mostly his control being off but there wasn't a lot of remorse on that face.

SS MagicMark Verified Member Posted April 20, 2023 Posted April 20, 2023 Joe Ryan has to be leading the league in run support now, if he wasn't already.
RickOShea Verified Member Posted April 20, 2023 Posted April 20, 2023 I see Ortiz traveling with Creasy Bear.

RickOShea Verified Member Posted April 20, 2023 Posted April 20, 2023 Let's get the run back and then some. Now is the time to step on their necks.
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted April 20, 2023 Posted April 20, 2023 Bit of a sno-cone there by Correa. Got enough of it to hang on though.
