I had this really weird dream last night. I was virtually weightless...I weighed less than a thousandth of a gram.

When i woke up I was like "0mg!"

Looks like the rigors of DHing every day has worn Buxton down.  Three strikeouts today?

I have no idea as to whether german was using anything,  but he had a ton of movement on all his pitches today. And we can go back a couple years when Donaldson called out Cole and soon thereafter Coles spin rate dropped dramatically afterwards.

I really wish I knew why Kepler has turned into a hitting-into-double-play machine. He didn't pound the ball into the dirt anywhere near so much earlier in his career. There is no value in Kepler keeping the ball on the ground. Even if he flies out to right field, there's a chance that a guy on third can score. This is worse than being a hole in the lineup, it's more like a land mine.

Kepler hasn't mastered hitting the bottom half of the ball, like a lot of power hitter have.  As a result he hits the top half or rolls over on the ;pitch, making him a prime candidate for hitting ground balls.

Gladden reports that he stepped out for a break and a Yankee official told him that German’s spin rate was up significantly today.

Why would a Yankee official give a report like that to a Twins announcer? Doubtful

Yeah, I thought he said German's spin rate was "through the roof" or words to that effect.

I'm curious who are better at their jobs, WWE refs or MLB umps.

Alcala hasn't looked good at all this year. Results haven't been bad, but velo down and command spotty.

Did this alleged conversation take place before the on-field incident? Did Gladden overhear something or was he directly spoken to?

Because there are some very ignorant people in this world.

Seemed odd to me too, but I could see it being someone Gladden has a relationship with.

MLB umps are incredibly good at their job. Easily the best officiating of any of the 4 major sports. Miles better than NFL and NBA.

To be fair, I have no idea how good WWE referees are.

More like because that data is public, track-able, and it was a true statement

He described it as having “just stepped out for a bit,” which I took to be between innings.

So, what about the WWE?
