German violated either (c)(4) of applying a foreign substance to the baseball or (c)(7) of possessing a foreign substance.
 

PENALTY: For violation of any part of (c)(2) through (7):

The pitcher shall be ejected immediately from the game and shall be suspended automatically. In the Minor Leagues, the automatic suspension shall be for 10 games.

A ridiculous mistake for any player to make.  There are plenty of American-made substances that will do the job nicely.

I hope none of you ever serve on a jury, If iI'm on trial.  I would like to hear a full explanation before a guilty verdict.

Oh well. We got Pablo going tomorrow. All we need to do is eke out 1 run or maybe 2 against Cole. 3 of 4 games in the Bronx and then on to Boston to take on the other evil empire of the Northeast.

 Buxton's batting line now worse than Taylor's across the board. Looking at the offensive team stats, it is amazing we are 10-4...... er.... 10-5.

There goes the run differntial. 😇
