Looks bleak, but I would think Correa could come off the bench, depending on what he is actually experiencing. From what it sounds (and my exp with them), that might be something a trainer could stretch and massage away and then work on it again later if necessary.

Then I would assume Gallo and Buxton could pinch hit if needed.

Do they need to explain the obvious when explaining the obvious will only make the rash fans get out the pitchforks? Seems counter productive.

Aside from that, the other three major sports all have some degree of 'tanking' controversies surrounding their seasons, and what MLB teams do most closely resembles what the NBA does, which does not sit well with fans. Seems to me the front office would be foolish to purposefully draw parallels to that.
