They're not going to let Buxton steel bases. They're just not. He barely had any attempts last year. They're taking the path that 85% of a season of Buxton doing nothing but swinging the bat out of the DH hole...is better than 40% of a season with Buxton being a really, really good baseball player.

Can’t blame the pitcher. He’s gotten 3 ground balls. The Astros can move guys over.

A man on second to start the 10th is just totally unnecessary; the games are plenty fast-enough with the pitch clock.  Save the ghost runners for the 12th and later.

Correa couldn't even move the runner over. Just watched the ball. Buxton would have scored if he had.

I'm not pretending anything. It's a pretty clear fact that his stats through 100 games were not all that good.
