In pressure situations the Twins don't do very well, it seems.

My personal view is that the pressure is due to a build up of past failures.  These past failures due to their approach.  Failing to cut down on swings and just making contact, continuing to play home run derby, and a genuine stubborness of not making the necessary adjustments.
