One of my favorite things is the most beautiful equation. (For those who don't know what that is, Google is your friend.)

Sadly, Las Vegas already has a hockey team, otherwise they could invite the Edmonton Eulers to move down and collaborate with this new E's franchise in some scholarly work  The result could be transcendental.

That’s irrational.

Brent Rooker is on pace for 37.125 homers.  A's on pace for 33.75 wins.

Brent Rooker is on pace for 32.4 homers.  A's on pace for 29.45 wins.  The gap is closing and getting more depressing as the Rooker train loses steam.

So if the season were to end today, there'd be no improvement.  What more evidence do we need, to fire this FO?

Brent Rooker is on pace for 28.85 homers.  A's on pace for 42.16 wins.  An improbable seven game winning streak did include 2 home runs from Rooker but as we all know, when the train gets going its more than one player.

Brent Rooker is on pace for 25.37 homers.  A's on pace for 41 wins.  At roughly the halfway point the grind is setting in.  Also a situation is developing in KC.  We are monitoring and will update as warranted.

Bobby Witt and the Royals have been removed from this post.  Damn them.

It’s past getting late. The sun has set for Oakland. The best they can do against Texas is a tie, but for that to happen Texas would finish behind both Houston and Seattle. They are also eliminated from a wild card berth. And this is with six weeks still remaining in the regular season.

They’ll always have the 1989 earthquake series.

If we play .500 baseball for the rest of the season (16-15), here’s how the other teams in the ALC would have to do to finish ahead of us.

Cleveland: 23-8

Detroit: 26-6

The White Sox and Kansas City could not pass us.

Detroit won the season series with the Twins so a tie goes to Detroit.  Cle currently leads the season series 4-3, unless the Twins go 4-2 (or better) in the remaining 6 games, a tie goes to Cle.

Edit:  Magic #26 for Cle and 24 for Det.  If the Twins go 16-15, the Twins win the central if Cle goes 21-10 or worse and Detroit goes 24-8 or worse.
