I realize the Twins have been hit hard by injury, but that is not an excuse for Tim Beckham in left field. That's enough in and of itself to call into question this front office.

Great play

They have continuously tried and failed at putting infielders in the outfield from Bartlett to Sano to Escobar to Adrianza to lewis to Gordon to Beckham. And this covers multiple regimes so I'm not quite sure why they can't find an actual outfielder.

If you’re going to use the electronic system to verify strikes and balls, then just use it to call all the pitches. Why should players have to jump through hoops to get the call right. Either use the system or don’t.

Sure is a good thing they changed pitchers.

Was it Fulmer's fault that Beckham (who should not be out in LF) failed to catch that fly ball?

I have not been on the Baldelli is incompetent bandwagon lately but this pitcher change pretty much verifies those who say that.

Ha.... not even two pages of comments. Looks like I am not the only one that is sick of this team at this point. Grrrrrrreat job Fulmer.

I guess the new too many pitches is now less than 70 for the starter........

That didn’t age well

OK, those two runs were on Fulmer.

Hmmm, maybe I need to extend my 'always bet on Yankees over Twins' to add in the Astros as well... it's starting to feel like it's a similar thing. I guess that's what happens when a mediocre team plays a dominant one.

Mancini would have looked good in a Twins uni.

Strike down the middle and Celestino stands and watches it and swings at garbage

He never goes by the feel of the game, Stats say rocco DO- and Rocco does,  zero game management

Robbie frigging Grossman would have looked good in a Twins uni.

It was a good game until the asinine pitching change took place.

It's a good game when your offense has 2 hits through 6 innings?

They had a good chance of winning until then.

Well the Astros offense only got 3 hits off  Bundy, so the Twins were definitely in the game. I wouldn’t call that a bad game.

They should not have cut Smith, he was at worst equal to what they stick out there.

Bro. He was terrible. Like, gas tank empty terrible

Valdez gets to go 7 innings and over 100 pitches, but Verlander in a no-hitter doesn't? Weird.

If they can't score again - which it looks like they won't - then it won't matter what the pen did, and it will end up as a bad game. Rocco does seem to have the touch of death with whatever bullpen moves he makes, but Fulmer crapping the bed in the 6th rather then the 7th doesn't change anything.

And so is most of what they have, at least what Baldelli sends out when the starting pitcher is not doing badly.
