USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 I realize the Twins have been hit hard by injury, but that is not an excuse for Tim Beckham in left field. That's enough in and of itself to call into question this front office.

And this covers multiple regimes so I'm not quite sure why they can't find an actual outfielder.
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 If you’re going to use the electronic system to verify strikes and balls, then just use it to call all the pitches. Why should players have to jump through hoops to get the call right. Either use the system or don’t.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 Hey at least next year’s schedule came out today. Bad news: get the Yankees 7 times in April ?

RpR Verified Member Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 I have not been on the Baldelli is incompetent bandwagon lately but this pitcher change pretty much verifies those who say that.
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 How are those trade deadline pickups working out
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 Ha.... not even two pages of comments. Looks like I am not the only one that is sick of this team at this point. Grrrrrrreat job Fulmer. I guess the new too many pitches is now less than 70 for the starter........

Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 OK, those two runs were on Fulmer. Hmmm, maybe I need to extend my 'always bet on Yankees over Twins' to add in the Astros as well... it's starting to feel like it's a similar thing. I guess that's what happens when a mediocre team plays a dominant one.

He never goes by the feel of the game, Stats say rocco DO- and Rocco does, zero game management
RpR Verified Member Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 It was a good game until the asinine pitching change took place.

Tlaker Verified Member Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 Over/under 16 more victories in the last 40 after tonight’s loss?
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 Time to tell it like it is, sports fans.

Winston Smith Verified Member Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 This is the least likeable Twins team I can remember.
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 Apathy has overtaken rage at this point
RpR Verified Member Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 They should not have cut Smith, he was at worst equal to what they stick out there.

Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 Valdez gets to go 7 innings and over 100 pitches, but Verlander in a no-hitter doesn't? Weird. 4 minutes ago, LVTwinsfan said: Well the Astros offense only got 3 hits off Bundy, so the Twins were definitely in the game. I wouldn’t call that a bad game If they can't score again - which it looks like they won't - then it won't matter what the pen did, and it will end up as a bad game. Rocco does seem to have the touch of death with whatever bullpen moves he makes, but Fulmer crapping the bed in the 6th rather then the 7th doesn't change anything.
