I've been told that they have a wonderful railroad museum. Has anyone been there?

Long time ago ... but yes! In the old depot ... nice spot

I do too, but I typically keep heading up the shore to get away from the "city".  It's gotten busier up there though.

Ironically that’s where my cousins go every summer to get a taste of the “city” life from outside of Albert Lea.

Tornadoes on the ground in SW MN, be safe Twins fans, listen to the game from the basement if you hear sirens

I don't have a basement where I live ... the sirens do go off from time to time ... nowhere to go so I just watch out my window

They do.  It's been a while since I've been there, but it's still there.

They do realize that they have to drive through the Twin Cities to get there, right? :)

I love Duluth ... spent a lot of time there as a child ... being away from MN ... I don't get there anymore ... maybe once I move back to the TC

Took the Little Woman to Duluth back in the last century. Grandma's served the best fish sandwich we've ever had. Tap beer was great! Loved the ambiance! You could almost see sailors' ghosts drifting through the second floor looking for their favorite one-night stand. Brought a couple Grandma mugs home. Still use 'em.

Went back maybe ten-fifteen years ago. Fish sandwich was history, they'd put a cheap steel addition on the old bordello, it was like eating in an echo chamber, beer was standard mega-brewery, no ghosts, no ambiance.

Cliff Claven Little Known Fact: Duluth is listed in the top ten safest cities to migrate to as the climate worsens.

Thankfully your apartment isn’t in Windom

Grab a mitt and start collecting grill covers and patio furniture cushions and sell for for a premium the next day!

We don't have a basement either. Little Woman can't do stairs. So she keeps me on the level.

Our tornado plan; head for an interior hallway, crouch down, cover your head with your hands and kiss your fanny goodbye.

So, you're saying there's a chance!

I’ve got a guy that wants some white wall tires on the other line I’ll talk to ya later

Duluth used to have wooden car bridges that crossed the rairoad tracks so you could get to the lift-bridge with a right-angle turn in it; I loved old Duluth and used to go out the airport USAF interceptor base and watch the F-106 aircraft scramble.

It just so happens that I'm also in the market for tires.  Not sure white walls are my style though.  Do you have any all-terrains?

They don’t “have to”, it’s much faster, but the drive up the Wisconsin 35 following the Mississippi and St Croix through those river valleys is one of the prettiest drives you’ll take. “The Flood Run” motorcycle tour is beautiful

A little less exciting these days.  They've got an airlift wing there now.

Archer deserved that strike three, but the way he handled that was fantastic.  You can see he's not the same guy he was a few years ago.

This could end up being a sneaky brilliant signing.

I dunno, Archer hasn't impressed me that much, his stuff is better than expected, but he tends to get his pitch count run up quickly and then he fatigues. He might end up a 2/3 inning guy rather than a starter.

Yeah, I think ideally Archer is a multi-inning reliever come the latter part of the season. This is beneficial to the health of his arm, and probably his best role. He can probably throw 95-97 fairly consistently if you tell him he's going to throw only 2-3 innings/50 pitches once every 3 or 4 games, and those type of arms are valuable in the playoffs (if you get there). He's going to have to keep his current role with the current state, but after the trade deadline I'd imagine he's transitioned to this type of role

Yes it is.  I've made that drive.  Usually, I'll get off I-35 at MN210 and go through Jay Cooke SP and either go up into Duluth on Hwy 23 or cross into Wisconsin and grab 35 into superior.  Depends on my mood.

I'm usually all too happy to get off the interstate by then.

Long story but actually slept in the airmen barracks when they were flying F-4 recon Phantoms.

If any one goes up on I-35 A: take Minn. 23 out of Hinckley, B:  County Highway 61, (Old U.S. 61)  out of Hinckley both are nice drives.

The storm is just about to the metro. There definitely will be a rain delay soon. Looks like at least straight line winds. Hopefully no rotation. Stay safe everyone.
