Saving Winder for a start in 5 days won't work...he should've thrown today so he'd be in line to start in Ober's spot.  Grey probably won't be quite ready by then if he hasn't thrown a rehab game yet.

He could just throw an extra bullpen or go on extra rest.

I love it when it's the other team that can't do a damned thing right.

Rather refreshing, indeed.

remember two weeks ago when people were writing off the season, preparing to sell Correa, etc?

baseball's a funny game init?

I am still preparing to sell Correa  :).  Just need his bat to heat up to MVP level status to get maximum value.

The Twins started the season 2-4 at home and after a 3-4 road trip I swear there were fans that were ready to give up on this team, I remember suggesting to somebody(jokingly) that they wait til June before giving up. This team is good. I hope they get some bullpen help though, opposing teams defenses aren’t going to always be there to bail them out.

I received this yesterday from my Minneapolis brother, commiserating about the Minnesota and Portland weather:

The sun was warm but the wind was chill.
You know how it is with an April day
When the sun is out and the wind is still,
You're one month on in the middle of May,
But if you so much as dare to speak,
A cloud comes over the sunlit arch,
A wind comes off a frozen peak,
And you're two months back in the middle of March.

I think their pitching will determine how far they actually go.  I think they'll be playoff caliber (which means less now), but I'm far from sold that they're turning a corner though.  The way Chicago had been playing and now Detroit, they make a team look pretty good.  This Rays series will probably be a much better barometer.

I believe they will eventually, just not ready to say that that time is now.

That’s a base hit, that ball was hit hard

Nice for Celestino to hustle home and get that RBI for Carlos also.

I'm not usually a poetry guy, but this said what I (and perhaps may Twins fans) have been thinking in a way that I couldn't.

It's exactly what I'll be thinking tonight at my boys' lacrosse games.  Thanks for posting.

I didn't have any, so it can't be that.

Starting Pitching is good, bullpen is a big question for me.  Been better lately, but a bad bullpen can destroy a season. I’ve never doubted the offense, these guys will hit no question.

Did they just show Byron taking a sip of coffee in the dugout?  If so I approve.

Coffee makes everything better.
