Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted April 1, 2013 Author Posted April 1, 2013 Appealing to Joe Mauer for the strike call. I like that.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted April 1, 2013 Author Posted April 1, 2013 That sounds logical, but I was pretty confused. Any suggestions to clarify the process is certainly welcome.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted April 1, 2013 Author Posted April 1, 2013 Ugh. Dozier running the wrong direction and missed an easy play. Understandable why it happened but ugh.
nmoline Provisional Member Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 Worley not looking good and defense not looking good. Twins win 10 games all year.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 Sorry, I forgot to grab the top row of cells. Not possible to edit an article? Not good form to change content in reaction to comments of course, but to fix a glitch seems worth it.
glunn Community Moderator Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 Worley not looking good and defense not looking good. Twins win 10 games all year. Wow, you did not take long to sour on this season. Let's hope for a double play here.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted April 1, 2013 Author Posted April 1, 2013 Lookin' sharp out there, boys. Sharp like a bowling ball.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 The top 7 should be comparable to any team in the league. Dozier in the 8th slot makes for a potentially decent comp as well, unless you are forecasting really bad things.
PseudoSABR Verified Member Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 Any suggestions to clarify the process is certainly welcome.Maybe when the lineups are announced (or an hour before game time, whatever) change the title of the thread to game day thread? (I know the lineups were announced extra early today).
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 1st inning turns out exactly as I imagined. 2-0 Tigers. We are gonna be bad. Really bad. Worley is our BEST pitcher.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted April 1, 2013 Author Posted April 1, 2013 Maybe when the lineups are announced (or an hour before game time, whatever) change the title of the thread to game day thread? (I know the lineups were announced extra early today). Unfortunately, the system does not appreciate the changing of article names in the forum. The system will simply duplicate the article thread again when it can't find the original.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 Idea for a contest: pick the game and inning when Worley gets his first swing and miss. I'll go with inning 2 of the first game he pitches in an NL stadium.
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 Hopefully the Twins can get a hit in the first so I can turn my attention elsewhere.
snepp Verified Member Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 So, ummm, how did the Tigers ever manage to score without having the 2-hole hitter bunting Jackson to 2nd? [/mind blown]
nmoline Provisional Member Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 Wow, you did not take long to sour on this season. Let's hope for a double play here. A lot of dp opportunities moving guys with balls in the dirt. It's alright, Morneau is going to win the AL MVP so 2 runs will be nothing to overcome.
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 Ha, I was scrolling through scores and just assumed LAA at Cincinnati was still an exhibition. What a travesty to have interleague every day.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 So, ummm, how did the Tigers ever manage to score without having the 2-hole hitter bunting Jackson to 2nd? [/mind blown] Hicks takes care of that problem for the Twins.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted April 1, 2013 Author Posted April 1, 2013 Plouffe makes that play.

Badsmerf Verified Member Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 Plouffe makes that play.Better question, does Sano make that play?
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted April 1, 2013 Author Posted April 1, 2013 Its just different. Everyone will get used to it I think. I always felt Interleague play was a little hokey to begin with. I prefer seeing league parity with 15 teams apiece over a batch of interleague play.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted April 1, 2013 Author Posted April 1, 2013 Better question, does Sano make that play? He would have intimidated the ball to first base.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 Ha, I was scrolling through scores and just assumed LAA at Cincinnati was still an exhibition. What a travesty to have interleague every day. could not disagree more, I want more interleague play. I wanted to see Bonds live, in person. Why not let people see the best players live?
snepp Verified Member Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 Better question, does Sano make that play? If he hits anything like Cabrera, I don't care.
GCTF Verified Member Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 Plouffe makes that play. Batista makes that play?
TheLeviathan Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 Twins really know how to dampen enthusiasm......
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted April 1, 2013 Author Posted April 1, 2013 Batista makes that play? While reading the Bible.
