Who is in charge of the waiver claims on this team? Have they struck gold since Wisler last year? Burrows looks like another they should have let the waiving team stash in the minors.

Yeah, you have to DFA him - and I don't think anyone is going to trade a bag of balls for Happ. Just DFA the guy out of respect for his career, maybe a team will take a flier on him and he can ride off into the sunset. Shoemaker hasn't found a job yet, though, which makes me doubtful Happ will either.

Our two big SP acquisitions - both DFA'ed by August and left to burn on a heap of broken promises and shattered dreams. And somehow, our bullpen is a bigger disappointment.

What a train wreck.

I got home around 9:30 last night, debated about listening to the game, checked the score, where I believe they had a 5 to 1 lead in the top of the 9th, so I decided just to watch the Olympics - that chicken dinner was being prepared across Twins Territory.  What were the chanced that the bullpen would blow a lead at that point?

Should have let Simmons hit. Another out and there would have been a chance that Kepler, Sano, Jeffers and Rooker all passed him in the batting average category today.

Does Rocco learn from past mistakes?  PH for Simmons, so who plays SS?  

I'm bringing Gordon in at SS and putting Cave in CF.

Normally, I approve of trying to steal there.  But with the pitching in this game being what it is, I'd be inclined to let Kepler hit there.
