I would argue that their inability to build on leads is just as big a problem. That puts too much pressure on the pitching to be perfect late in games, which they clearly aren't capable of doing.

I disagree, this bullpen has shown we can’t score enough runs

Is there a negativity prize of which I am unaware?

I stepped away for a few minutes and read this, thinking Shoemaker had imploded. But as far as I can tell, he gave up two singles, got a strikeout, then a double play. A scoreless second inning, after a 1-2-3 first.

Ok, that was an overreaction. I apologize.

Yes. The negativity prize is reward by the rare anti-jinx, when the universe is listening, and decides to prove us wrong. Like a double negative.

So then, inability to score runs at all would be as big a problem.

I said I disagree, that’s all I’m interested in saying about it

So is this Xfinity site outdated?

https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/watch-mlb-extra-innings-hd

Do I need to pay extra to access MLB.TV?
No, MLB.TV is included with your subscription of MLB EXTRA INNINGS.

How do I access MLB.TV?
If you have an MLB EXTRA INNINGS subscription, follow these steps to activate your MLB.TV account:

Go to secure.mlb.com/tv/activate.
Select Xfinity as your provider.
Sign in using your Xfinity ID and password.
Create a new MLB.com account or sign in with your existing account to link your Xfinity ID and password with MLB.TV.

Edit to add: MLB.TV is also mentioned prominently on this page:

https://www.xfinity.com/learn/digital-cable-tv/sports/mlb/extra-innings

That worked ... I was trying to go through mlb.tv as that's how i'd done it in past years ... I did call MLB. tv customer service ... they had a menu specifically to Extra Innings ... they couldn't figure it out ... called xfinity customer service, and they don't get it, either ... especially since I can get it on my computer, I should get it on my tv ... so ... they think I have a signal leak ... whatever taht means ... ugh ... you know ... technology is a lot like men ... can't live with 'em, can't live without 'em. ;)

Fair enough...it's all good.

And before y'all say ... be a cable cutter ... it's part of my assessments ... I pay for it regardless ... ugh ... now I have a headache ... so not worth it the way the Twins have been playing :)

'It's just a game ... it's just a game ... it's just a game ... it's just a game ... there's no place like home ...'

Oh, er ... okay ... back to baseball

It’s painful watching them in clutch hitting situations.

They just can’t get it out of the infield

All of the facets combined seem to make every close game slide to the favor of the opponent. Leaky bullpen, can't expand leads and can't score late means (to paraphrase Prime Time Sanders) if it's even we're losing. If it''s even close late, the Twins likely will lose.

Oh well. At least he made contact. That’s progress, right?

As a cable cutter, I've seen more of every other team in baseball than I've seen the Twins play...so, it's not all what it's cracked up to be. Luckily, I've made due just fine and I don't miss the visuals of this team very often.

Which, is saying something given how painful it is to watch them in non-clutch situations.

No ... you can't do that anymore. I used to be able to watch online, when I was away from home, they would connect my accounts, but they don't do that anymore, because, you know ... MLB wants to kill the sport by killing off fan interest by making it the most difficult it can to watch the games. I paid for a package that has never done this before. It's ridiculous ... this is the 2nd game in a week they've black out 'Local restrictions' ... and I'm in Chicago

I feel for you. It's ridiculous to pony up $100 mainly to watch one team and get blacked out. Side note on post I made earlier this season, If you live in Iowa you're blacked out of 6 teams from the word go. Sure that doesn't make you feel better

Honestly, I don't even watch every game ... but I like having it on when I'm doing other things ... it's rare I actually sit through an entire game because I can't sit ... but it shouldn't be that difficult ... in the end, the xfinity people think I do have a technical problem that requires a technician, so ... eh

Twins BP vs Tigers BP. This battle shall be legendary

Probably time to get the BP warmed up? The wheels may be falling off soon for ol’ Shoey.

Even sano hasn’t been as bad as Cabrera. But he’s got two hits. Sano hasn’t done that in one game yet this year

that's the weird thing for me. It's background noise frequently, so the radio works just as well. And if I'm watching the game, I usually have music playing while the TV is muted.
