cHawk Community Moderator Posted May 2, 2021 Posted May 2, 2021 concur. I vote for DeGrom.IDK who to vote for
cHawk Community Moderator Posted May 2, 2021 Posted May 2, 2021 I am now. But given the 3-run lead scenario, I wouldn’t have been. Spotted a seven run lead after 3, and not able to get even into the 7th?...given the Twins situation, that’s more failure than success, even if the result is a win. Now, I probably take him out and see if I can get at least one inning from someone not named Duffey, Robles, or Rogers. There’s no reason to have him continue to go out there at 90 pitches and risk him getting injured when you have a rested pen.

Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted May 2, 2021 Posted May 2, 2021 Simmons has reminded us what real range looks like in an infielder. The fact he almost got to that ball is pretty amazing.

LaBombo Verified Member Posted May 2, 2021 Posted May 2, 2021 I'm starting to catch myself wondering what went wrong when Simmons doesn't quite glove a ball he really had no business getting close to.

(but yes, not with the 6 run lead)

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted May 2, 2021 Posted May 2, 2021 I guess Robles was already warmed, but with a 6 run lead?
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted May 2, 2021 Posted May 2, 2021 I guess Robles was already warmed, but with a 6 run lead? That’s a save opportunity for the Twins

(but yes, not with the 6 run lead)Not all of the arms in the pen are completely incompetent. The pen as a group has been bad but not every arm individually. And the pen should be good enough to hold a 6 run lead, even though Berrios probably would be better
LaBombo Verified Member Posted May 2, 2021 Posted May 2, 2021 Just for a fraction of a second when he underestimated that warning track ball and it bounced past him, Cave had very cat/laser pointer thing going on.
