Pitchers may be good, but there is always an increased risk when you go to the bullpen for so many pitchers. All it takes is one guy having an off day. Oh well. Let's not let Rocco's Obsession with stats get in the way of how amazing Jose looked today. At least he threw a no hitter.

Long answer trying to be short, he practices in the field and carries an OF/2B/1B glove. But his range is very limited and he just hasn't been in the field for years. Could he? Yes. But think Chilli Davis when pressed, or Willingham, or Thome at 3B at 40.

He could do it. But you don't want to see him do it.

I was gonna say. How many players not named Ichiro have played OF regularly in their age 40+ season in recent memory?

If they don't let a guy who is nearly perfect through 6 with a good pitch count complete the game, they won't let an old guy play the outfield. Because statistics... :'(

Do you remember a game the Rangers lost, after a playable ball in RF, which would have sealed a World Series victory, was misjudged? He's 10 years older than that player now.

100%. But, I would be forced to answer with Henderson.

To be fair, we're all 10 years older now.

Brett Gardner is only 37. It just SEEMS like he’s been around long enough to be 43.

Man, they were sitting hard on Duffey's curve. He even gave them one on that last pitch. Duffey needs to mow a few batters down with his new heater to the corners. Maybe mix in some change ups, just to confound, confuse and befuddle.

Now I really want to buy a suit of armor

Always wanted one. Problem is, I'd always want one in my size so I could wear it on certain occasions to completely geek out.

But how would I post or take a rest break? That's where my dream ended, alas. Lol

Commercial wise, just happy for something different. Nice. Will undoubtedly be bored and frustrated in a few weeks.

I'd mention how glad I am not to see a commercial for a certain dough-cheese-and-topping restaurant chain but I won't because I don't want to jinx it.

Great reference!

The at’em balls are the hardest to judge :)

Good post, for the win.

Never mind, looks like Cologne is warming up now.

Darn auto correct! But it’s funny so I’ll keep it cologne.

Something about this post just doesn't smell right.
