Luke Raley is back in the majors with the Dodgers. Showed some promise in the minors for the Twins after coming to them in 2018/19 for Brian Dozier. We traded him back to the Dodgers in the Maeda deal.

Dodgers have decided to give Graterol some extra time in AAA as he works his way back. Came off the IL a week ago, and the Dodgers optioned him.

Wilson Ramos designated for assignment by the Tigers. The shakeup in Detroit starts. When will it happen in Minnesota.

Ramos was an up-and-coming catching prospect who was traded by the Twins for Matt Capps back in 2010. Since then, he caught 919 games in 12 seasons for five teams,

To reflect on Ramos, because this might be the end of his catching career in MLB, he’s produced 15.3 bWAR in 12 seasons. He hit the 2 WAR threshold 4 out of 12 seasons. Does that still warrant him being the first thought of Twins trade flops? Because for the last 10 years, Ramos for Capps has been one of the most despised trades the Twins have made.

Ramos for Capps? One, didn't expect Butera to be main catcher in 2011. And after two more seasons behind the plate, didn't totally expect Mauer to move to first base. Would he have produced for the Twins? Been a better option than Suzuki, before he himself became more of a free agent and toured baseball. How many seasons would he have worn a Twins uniform in the end?

The Twins lose Shaun Anderson to the Rangers on a waiver claim. They got him for LaMonte Wade during the off-season. Wade ahs been a pleasant surprise for the Giants. Not that, in reality, the Twins don't have an abundance of outfielders that they could lose Wade and also the earlier Baddoo. That is, if the string of outfielders stay healthy.

Once Buxton and Kepler return the Twins will be faced with how to find playing time for four outfielders. And AAAA guys like Garlick and Refsnyder may be out of luck. And who knows the future of Jake Cave.

I’m happy to see Wade doing well. I had a soft spot for him because throughout the minors he had excellent plate discipline. I got to thinking about Jaylin Davis, the other former Twin OF on the Giants. Unfortunately he’s on the 60 day IL ?

DFAing an injured player is a bad thing to do.

If you're talking about Anderson he had already been activated and sent to AAA.

Old friend Eduardo Escobar could be coming back to the AL Central.

That would really suck if the White Sox got him. Escobar was a great Twin and I would not like or would very much dislike seeing him in a White Sox uniform. Honestly that would suck big time!

Vance “Vanimal” Worley resurfaces after pitching a couple of years in independent ball. He signed a minor league deal with the Mets.

Didn't we get him from the White Sox in the Francisco Liriano trade?

I won't begrudge him going full circle.

Man, out of all the pitchers the Twins have been signing from Indy Ball, how did this one escape them?

Blankenhorn is back up with The Mets!

MLB TRADE RUMORS: Blankenhorn, 24, could also be an option. The well-traveled Blankenhorn has often seen his name scrawled across the MLBTR pages this season. Since being recalled to the Twins active roster on April 20th, Blankenhorn was optioned, designated for assignment, claimed by the Dodgers, designated for assignment, claimed by the Mariners, optioned, DFA’d again, claimed by the Mets, and optioned again. The Pennsylvania native made a pretty good argument for keeping him permanently on the Mets roster, however, by slashing .389/.538/.944 in 26 plate appearances spanning seven games for the Syracuse Mets.

LaMonte Wade Jr. is back up with Giants too (replacing Brandon Belt who went on the IL). Wade went 2-for-4 yesterday with a 2 run HR plus a walk. 2 runs scored and 2 RBI while batting leadoff in a 6-5 Giants win in 10 innings.

Glad for Wade. MLB Trade Rumors speculates that he'll be platooning at first base until Belt returns. He's had a fine season so far in about 100 plate appearances.

Gotta mention Kyle Gibson again. He's 6-0 with a 2.00 ERA in 90 innings for the Rangers. His WHIP is just above 1.00. This is a career year for him and Texas might get a bunch of good prospects for him at the trade deadline.

Just checked the standings, and 6-0 is something!

If not for Kyle, Texas would be giving Baltimore a run for its money.

Sean Gilmartin is back, signing with the Twins out of the Indy Leagues. Remember that we got him from the Braves for Ryan Doumit in 2014. Then he was a Rule 5 select by the Mets in 2015. He was a 24-year-old starter prospect back then.

John Hicks returns to the majors with the majors. He was selected off waivers by the Twins in 2015. And the team tried to sneak him thru in the early spring and he was grabbed by the Tigers in 2016 where he managed a few good years as a C/DH/1B/3B guy.

Ironically he replaces Shaun Anderson, recently claimed on the waiver wire by Texas and spending two whole weeks in their minors. Maybe the Twins can claim him back again!
