I'd think the series in which we finally see Sano learn how to lay off low and outside breaking pitches would be a series to celebrate. Shouldn't the gods be rewarding him for this?

Hit the ball fairly hard. But that is a tough spot for a rookie to make his first AB.

 

Either way, it's another HUGE missed opportunity that likely lowered their spirits. Need a shutout today from Berrios.

A guy getting his first major league AB with the bases juiced in a playoff game is just another management/FO breakdown, IMO.

 

Why the heck wouldn’t you get the kid some ABs during the regular season if you’re going to use him over Jake Cave in the biggest game of the year?

I had the same thought, but I'll forgive him if he wasn't really listening to the announcers. Frankly I usually don't either. :)

Gotta say, Kirilloff coming up to hit with the bases loaded in an elimination game for his FIRST MLB PLATE APPEARANCE is just about the most Twins thing ever.

Randy Dobnak  game 2 in Yankee Stadium--or this move today,  This is WORSE!!

 

Dobnak and it's not even close especially given the experience we had with Odo who had pitched in the Bronx before.

ANOTHER POLANCO LEFT HANDED A.B. AND ANOTHER SHOULDER DROP, Gotta be 10-15 of them the last month, or am i just watching the same a.b. over and over, mind boggling,
