LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 LOLOLOL.Because Rosario took 2nd
IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 The wheels on the Bux go round and round!!!
70charger Verified Member Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 His speed truly changes games, and this is example number one. Who other than Buxton could have walked it off on a hit that barely made it to the shortstop.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 I don't think there's another right handed batter that can beat that out.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 That's two games in a row it feels like we stole. I like it.
Otto von Ballpark Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 Would they have had a better chance of throwing Cruz out at the plate?
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 Twins win!!! Maeda was really good once again, and the bats came alive late when they needed to. Not encouraging against a left hander, but they pounced when they had the chance. Sano was really good, and Buxton beat out a single that only a handful of players can beat out. 3 of 5, and need at least one more. Until tomorrow, Go Twins!!!
stringer bell Verified Member Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 Not to negate the hits by Sanó. All three figured in to runs.
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 Would they have had a better chance of throwing Cruz out at the plate? Maybe but nobody thinks like that
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 All right that was fun, game 4 Of the five game series tomorrow
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 Because Rosario took 2ndWith the SS charging the ball it would have been tough to get Rosario at second.
AZTwin Verified Member Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 Would they have had a better chance of throwing Cruz out at the plate? Cruz was laughing because he knew that was true. Buxton is the only player in baseball that could have beaten that out. He’s normally very fast but seems like he was in another gear there
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 Because Rosario took 2ndIt was defensive indifference and not a steal, but still a good play to take advantage of what you are given.
AlwaysinModeration Verified Member Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 Would love to see how fast Buxton was running right there.
AlwaysinModeration Verified Member Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 Setting a world record, Usain Bolt ran a 100 m in 0:09.69 for an average speed of 33.90 feet per second at the 2008 Olympics. Buxton was clocked at 31 feet per second on that play.
Tovar12 Verified Member Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 Holding them to just the 3-1 lead was huge too. Bases loaded with 2 runs in and we shut the door.
Diesel Verified Member Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 Ok why were the Tigers not playing infield in? That seemed obvious
stringer bell Verified Member Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 Ok why were the Tigers not playing infield in? That seemed obviousTwo outs. They probably were in a step or two because of Buck’s speed, but the infield only needed one out (that they never got).
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 Would they have had a better chance of throwing Cruz out at the plate? I watched the replay and they both crossed at nearly the identical time. Had it been a force at home, going for Cruz may have been the better play.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted September 6, 2020 Author Posted September 6, 2020 Thanks for assigning me the weird games to introduce. This was right up there with the no hitter Maeda took to the 9th, only he wasn't greedy, and shared it with the other pitcher... even spotted him a sporting advantage.
