ashbury Verified Member Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 Berrios is still in the game after 2.5 hours, must be closing in on a CG, right?
MMMordabito Verified Member Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 What do they call a group of crows, Bart? .... A murder god this umpire is testing me.

IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 With Tom Seaver’s death, Steve Stone shared a good story on the Sox broadcast. Spring training of his rookie year and they’re facing the Cardinals. Bob Gibson throws a fastball right under Seaver’s chin, walks halfway to the plate and says, “Welcome to the big leagues, kid.” Gibson’s first time up, Seaver puts a fastball right under his chin, walks halfway to the plate and says, “It’s good to be here.”

LaBombo Verified Member Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 Problem with that explanation is that the radio waves necessary to transmit the news to you would be on their way to Neptune by now. "We built this gamethread on rock and rollllll !" Yeah, it doesn't really have anything to do with Sano's mass altering the physics of baseball, but what a catchy chorus...
ashbury Verified Member Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 C'mon Eddie. I don't care if you take or swing, but please don't just eat out of the pitcher's hand like you've done so far tonight.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 I believe you'll need to look inward for that answer.Spoken like a master of Ti Kwan Leep.

LaBombo Verified Member Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 Well done tonite, Jose. His start tonight really helped my fantasy baseball team that I don't actually have this year, but imagine having Jose on despite having to overpay for him, because why not.

Gibson was having trouble throwing strikes so McCarver goes out to the mound. Gibson says, “What are you doing out here? You come out here to tell me about pitching? The only thing you know about pitching is that it’s hard to hit.” McCarver said he never made a mound visit again when Gibson was pitching.

LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 We’re seeing some great defense in this series by two of the top teams in the AL Central
SS MagicMark Verified Member Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 The Sox have some bats, but what a clown show in the field.
howeda7 Verified Member Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 Doesn't look good for Adrianza. Can it finally be Nick Gordon time?
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 Lovely...another injury. And Arraez did that on his foul ball swing 2 pitches prior to that hit.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 Doesn't look good for Adrianza. Can it finally be Nick Gordon time? Nick Gordon isn't even in St. Paul ... as far as I know

TwinsCD Verified Member Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 The Sox have some bats, but what a clown show in the field. Everyone's kid's Little League team and softball team could have made these plays tonite. And Buxton probably catches both the Cave dinger and the Rosie dinger.
