ashbury Verified Member Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 Powder blue brings back happy memories for me, so I can never be other than in favor.
Longdistancetwins Verified Member Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 Yeah, and I'm not a fan of the Twins powder-blues, either.I think the people that have "nostalgia" for the powder-blues don't really remember the not-so-happy years when the Twins wore them. We got rid of them and then won a World Series.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 Neither team has exactly put forth a stellar effort in the field, this series.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 C'mon Eddie, little 2 out RBI magic here.
Shaitan Verified Member Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 Out of that half inning. Couldn't come quick enough...Been wondering, what with the extra inning rules, can a good 2nd base pick off play become a game changer? Or, alternately, can a bad 2nd base pick off play (balk/error) become a game changer? If they want to spice up the game, we definitely need more balks.

The switch to the uniforms seen in those World Series highlights struck me as stuffy and corporate at the time, and I don't really feel differently now either.

sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 More runners left on base. Oh well.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 I wonder if any team has played in Zootsuits...
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 C'mon Eddie, little 2 out RBI magic here. Be nice if he'd see more than 2 pitches in a plate appearance.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 I like the name Madrigal. Fills me with Glee.

I do have nostalgia for the young Herbies and Pucketts. I guess I'm going back further to Tony's knees that never got better, Harm going to KC, Calvin pushing everyone toward free agency. That stuff. But point well taken. At least now the players wear belts and don't look like they are playing in pajamas.
ashbury Verified Member Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 Unlucky. That grounder hit Arraez in a bad spot.
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 Easy hopper to Arraez, I could have made that play, and I’m 64
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 "For Arraez, that's his first error of the year." It shouldn't even be his first error of the night.

ashbury Verified Member Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 I played it in my birthdayI made a note to do that, but then forgot when the time came.

IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 I hate these uniforms Gonna have to disagree here. Don’t like the Nike logos across the board, but I think the Twins and Cardinals rock the powder blues.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 Easy hopper to Arraez, I could have made that play, and I’m 64 I think I might have too, and I've had 64...
