USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 Rats. Is it time to bring up Lewis?Thorpe plays second? Come to think of it, he's probably mulling over a position change.
howeda7 Verified Member Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 How bad is Kepler's injury?
howeda7 Verified Member Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 Nick Gordon isn't even in St. Paul ... as far as I knowI thought he was now now that he's over COVID.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 I thought he was now now that he's over COVID. I think he just now got to Ft Myers.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 Nobody wants to hear about your fantasy fantasy team. I do. It sounds like you're doin' it right! Not sure if that contradicts TwinsCD's statement, as i wouldn't exactly claim to be anybody.
IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 So this is only the second time this offense has scored more than seven since the opening weekend against the Sox.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 Everyone's kid's Little League team and softball team could have made these plays tonite. And Buxton probably catches both the Cave dinger and the Rosie dinger. If I'm not mistaken, Rosie's HR looked to be at least 5 feet past the wall, how tall do you think Buxton is?
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 DIck sounded shocked a Twins pitcher covered first base on a ground ball to the right side. "Nice play by Sano, and he finds...ALCALA!!!"
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 If I'm not mistaken, Rosie's HR looked to be at least 5 feet past the wall, how tall do you think Buxton is? 8-foot-5 with 70-inch hops My critique on Robert is that he didn't get to the wall quick enough to be able to have any sort of play, especially on Cave's HR. He'll learn. Bux has already learned it given what we saw last nite.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 Not sure what you just said but this guy approves: Hey, it's just standard parallel reality stuff, guys! Maybe you need a refresher course!
IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 And the Sox have managed to have E4, E5, E6, and E7 tonight. With a couple more innings to go.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 DIck sounded shocked a Twins pitcher covered first base on a ground ball to the right side. "Nice play by Sano, and he finds...ALCALA!!!" It definitely sounded like Sano overthrew Kyle Rudolph in the end zone and Alcala ended up making the grab for 6.
howeda7 Verified Member Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 I think he just now got to Ft Myers.Ah. Meh. I don't see them calling Lewis up.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 And the Sox have managed to have E4, E5, E6, and E7 tonight. With a couple more innings to go. Senior Airman, Staff Sergeant, Tech Sergeant, and Master Sergeant. A couple more stripes to go, too.

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 Alcala has gradually looked more and more relaxed and in command. He has great stuff.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 In all seriousness, Bert's last game is the end of an era. Yet another sign of my advanced and advancing age. I make fun of DickBert, but I'll miss Bert, and Richard too, when he leaves.
ashbury Verified Member Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 Senior Airman, Staff Sergeant, Tech Sergeant, and Master Sergeant. A couple more stripes to go, too.I was going to go with something about having an outside shot at the cycle, but this and LaBombo's are better.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 I went to the bank today, and this nice little old lady asked me if I could help check her balance. So I gave her a pretty good shove.
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 Alcala has gradually looked more and more relaxed and in command. He has great stuff. I wonder how he'd do as an opener
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 I went to the bank today, and this nice little old lady asked me if I could help check her balance. So I gave her a pretty good shove. That's pretty morally bankrupt of you.
ashbury Verified Member Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 A mid-inning pitching change for a team trailing 8-1. I think that's my cue to head toward bed. Good night everyone. Good game (to stretch a point), good thread (less of a stretch).
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 Here's one for the right field ball boy.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 Hey, it's just standard parallel reality stuff, guys! Maybe you need a refresher course! Not to be confused with perpendicular reality, which sadly only intersects ours once. That's why it's important to make the most of being right...
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 Yesterday Mrs Chief asked me to hand her some lipstick. I accidently gave her a glue stick instead. Now she won't talk to me.

I make fun of DickBert, but I'll miss Bert, and Richard too, when he leaves. Agreed. With his decreasing # of games it won't be that different, but it's still the end of an era. 10-15 years ago no one was better than Dick and Bert IMO.
IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 And Smeltzer gets the lovely parting gift in advance of heading off to St. Paul in exchange for Odo?
IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 Okay, when talking about rocking the powder blues, I didn’t know I was going to get Smeltzer’s socks too!
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 You don't often see a MLB umpire miss a call that badly.
IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 I said this last night, but I think Sano has the potential to be a very good defensive 1B. That was a great stretch.
