I took a look at Odorizzi's numbers against the Yankees and his numbers are pretty good.

 

Since it appears the playoffs go through YankeeTown, I don't see how the Twins don't at least try to sign Odorizzi.

 

At least, I would hope so.

If the twins have an opportunity to reach the postseason next year but could face the Yankees, I would strongly consider tanking into the wild card round
