LaBombo Verified Member Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 pretty sure the Twins are confident, fans.. not so much The current roster of Twins has a distinct advantage in this regard, since they've seen waaaay fewer Twins/Yankees playoff disasters than the average TD poster.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 OK, let's win this game.
jz7233 Provisional Member Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 I don't understand the love for Schoop. Why not pinch hit for him against a RH pitcher? Kepler is available I believe. Schoop kills the rally, that's what he does. That's why I want Schoop GONE! If he's on the roster they will let him play.

PDX Twin Verified Member Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 Schoooped again, If Arraez had come up as an unheralded rookie and had Schoop's numbers, would we be complaining?
IndyTwinsFan Verified Member Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 As is often the case, doing things the easy way apparently isn't in this team's DNA. Yet another example going on right now.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 Does anyone else think that Rochester would actually have a better chance against Cleveland than Detroit? No. Not close.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 Think sano’s homer put the gang on cruise control. This would be a bad one to say the least.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 Out of curiosity, how many of you joined the game thread after the Sox tied the score?
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 I think one of the best words to describe the 2019 Twins is: "curious". Great team, absolutely. But a curious team. Curious - ya they have zero speed for stolen bases, and have trouble at home, and the overall record against 500 or better not the best either, great but weird year,
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted September 18, 2019 Author Posted September 18, 2019 Yeah, like Central and Yellowstone South?
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 If Arraez had come up as an unheralded rookie and had Schoop's numbers, would we be complaining?Hitting in critical at bats, other than that ya -ok year
IndyTwinsFan Verified Member Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 Out of curiosity, how many of you joined the game thread after the Sox tied the score?I did, by sheer coincidence
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 The twins will win this game
Bandit34 Provisional Member Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 No. Not close.Well, I don't know about that. Sure Rochester might go 0-19 but Detroit will be going, what, 2-17. So actually it is rather close.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 I did, by sheer coincidenceUh huh
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted September 18, 2019 Author Posted September 18, 2019 OK, let's win this game. I approve. Beats the alternative.

LaBombo Verified Member Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 Collins and Engels? Seriously? Making their marx.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 I did, but I’ve been watching the whole time. Do I win a prize?Yeah, I just left it for you in the sewer.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 Sox broadcasters really like Duffey.

stringer bell Verified Member Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 Duffey! Two very good pitches, three if you count two different curves.
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 Out of all the Twins pitchers this season I think I might be the most impressed with Duffey
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 ClassyYou would know

Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 Out of all the Twins pitchers this season I think I might be the most impressed with Duffey Yeah, he’s really come a long way and someone I want in a tight spot. Couldn’t say that a couple months ago.
David HK Verified Member Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 Our #3 in the playoffs ??, how can ya use Perez or Nibby, ? give em both 3-4 innings max , and hope ya get lucky?Heh... I remember listening to Mike North one day, back in the 87 playoff chase. They were trying to come up with a "Spahn and Sain" saying for the dropoff to Les Straker et. al. One guy called in and said," Frank and Bert, then hit the dirt." I dunno what we can say this time around. Maybe.... "Jose and Jake, then shake and quake?"
