Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 You would knowIs this what we’re doing now?
Bandit34 Provisional Member Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 Who cares?Just chiming in with this because I cannot recall a team that has gotten so dominated by another Major League team. I'm sure it has happened but it is rather amazing.
Bandit34 Provisional Member Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 Out of all the Twins pitchers this season I think I might be the most impressed with Duffey He very badly needed a year like this. Kudos to him for keeping his major league dream alive. Looks like he has a real good chance to be a good reliever for us if he keeps improving!
LaBombo Verified Member Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 Out of curiosity, how many of you joined the game thread after the Sox tied the score? Top of the 5th for me, just before the wheels started coming off. So that wins me, what, the fun-size Baby Ruth bar? Wouldn't seem fair to get the same prize as Aggies.
jz7233 Provisional Member Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 Twins hitters have been too aggressive. Marshall has not thrown anything close to the plate.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 If Sanó can't launch one, I would like to see him bounce one where the second baseman used to play.

LaBombo Verified Member Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 Sox broadcasters really like Duffey. They're a little late, they probably could've had him for almost nothing when he was foundering in July.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 Yup, that was a swing.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 Too bad it’s not a realistic expectation for him to hit a home run every at bat
stringer bell Verified Member Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 Third day in a row for Romo?
Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 He very badly needed a year like this. Kudos to him for keeping his major league dream alive. Looks like he has a real good chance to be a good reliever for us if he keeps improving! if he can be 80% of what he has been for the last 7 weeks for a full season, he’s a top 10 reliever in baseball.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 Now romo is hurt? We need to clinch and just chill for a week
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 About the time that the Twins acquired Romo and Dyson their bullpen immediately improved, but not necessarily because of Romo or Dyson
LaBombo Verified Member Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 If Sanó can't launch one, I would like to see him bounce one where the second baseman used to play. Maybe you'll get to see this if the Sox try another bunt down the 3b line. Oh, you were talking about batting, weren't you...
Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 Now romo is hurt? We need to clinch and just chill for a week by “now” it’s been a thing since at least 2016
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 The Sox announcers are befuddled. So am I.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 Gotta wonder why romo is being left in if he has to adjust his delivery due to injury. He does get a K though
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 Sox announcers: psychological warfare pays off
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 Out of curiosity, how many of you joined the game thread after the Sox tied the score?I did. But you know me...
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 Lol ... Sox announcers
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 I did. But you know me...Yeah, I don’t think Aggies retrieved his prize so you are welcome to it
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 Yeah, I don’t think Aggies retrieved his prize so you are welcome to itBaby Ruth? No thanks.
ashbury Verified Member Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 I got back from a meeting and after taking care of a few things I checked the score. We'll probably pull this win out of the hat, but it's working out too difficult. Now I gotta go grab some sleep. Hope our guys win!
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 About the time that the Twins acquired Romo and Dyson their bullpen immediately improved, but not necessarily because of Romo or Dyson I think a bit of it can be indireclty because of the Romo and Dyson acquisitions. Relievers knew that they needed to step up their game or else they would lose their spot. Healthy competition at play.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 Yeah, I don’t think Aggies retrieved his prize so you are welcome to itYou’d think a guy with over 10,000 posts here wouldn’t be offered doody for joining a thread late. And you’re a mod

Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 Okay, that was an entertaining inning but in an excruciating kind of way. Sox announcers: he’s pumped up. Congratulations on winning the World Series.
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 Gotta wonder why romo is being left in if he has to adjust his delivery due to injury. He does get a K thoughany questions
stringer bell Verified Member Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 Romo battles through the eighth.
