LaBombo Verified Member Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 Holy crap, Romo needs LifeAlert to get assisted to the dugout...
IndyTwinsFan Verified Member Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 Now what's up with Romo?
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 And now Romo goes down.
PDX Twin Verified Member Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 Of good, another injury. Karma is hitting the Twins hard this week.
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 Hopefully just a minor twisted ankle for Romo
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 I knew SOMETHING had to be happening in St. Louis Park!Something nobody said ever.
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 Oh FFS, what is going on here? A pitcher getting injured on an inning-ending K?
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 Ted Williams I don't know, he's been pretty cold lately.
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 Four save out for Rogers?I guess not.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 Puig with another xbh. Well, even when it's the other team, you have to like it when success comes to good guys who play the game right.winner.
IndyTwinsFan Verified Member Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 They're unionized, and their union is incredibly strong. There is no official way to fire an umpire. Granted, if one went on a murder spree, they'd probably try, or at least sit him in a rubber room until the trial or whatever, but yeah. There's no official termination process. For the sake of the game, that really needs to change.
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 There is no official way to fire an umpire in the major leagues. Edit: they are assessed, and are assigned postseason games on that basis, but you can't fire them. They are untouchable. Yes, this includes Joe West. What if he falls on a player and crushes him to death? Could they fire him then?
bighat Verified Member Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 Romo looking overused and almost out of gas. He seems like a one-out or two-out guy, max, moving forward. And shouldn't be used more than a couple of times per week. Sure would be nice to have a healthy Dyson back one of these days.
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 Perez digs up the mound when he comes in, they should bring in the ground crew to fix it
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 I don't know, he's been pretty cold lately.Yeah, but say what you will, he has always kept his head in the game.
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 Now would be a good time for Wade to get his first MLB hit.

I just looked it up, and the only ump to be fired in this century was busted for drugs, and the MLB drug policy is something the union agreed to explicitly. So there you have it.

operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 And now Romo goes down.Good thing we have Sam Dyson! .....Oh wait
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 Something nobody said ever. I don't know, there was a bit of consternation when they opened Chic Fil A because of their "bigoted" policies.
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 Umpires should be required to make the “team” in spring training
70charger Verified Member Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 What if he falls on a player and crushes him to death? Could they fire him then? Apropos of nothing, Joe West is the president of the umpire's union.
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 It seems like a Wade at bat either ends with a walk or a groundout to 2nd
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 Why don't they use Miller to pinch run? Why is he on the roster if not to pinch run?
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 It seems like a Wade at bat either ends with a walk or a groundout to 2ndHe's a true two outcome player!
