Game Thread: Twins vs Cleveland 7:10 PM EDT (6:10 PM CDT) 9/7/2019

[PDX Twin]

If Eddie had let either of those balls go by, our second run scores and we still have the bases loaded to score more.

This game is going to be lost on trivial mistakes.

[mickeymental]

i rarely see the games and can’t help wondering: what’s with all the wild pitches and passed balls? seems like they used to be kinda rare ...

[USAFChief]

Rosario to the bench.

Seriously.

No different than Puig.

[VATwinsFan]

Uh, shouldn't someone have yelled at Rosario to run to first?

[ScrapTheNickname]

some offense would be nice, maybe we should blame the hitting coach

Oddly enough, I don't think there is a coach to blame, as I don't believe there is a catchers' coach -- who would come closest to being the catchers' coach then? Someone has to have it has a responsbility? I'm just asking. I don't know.

SANO!!!!!!!!

[IndyTwinsFan]

Before it gets mistaken for a coma ...

Some might think that we're basically in a virtual comatose state offensively right now.

[VATwinsFan]

If Arraez can't drive him in, nobody can!!!!

[IndyTwinsFan]

Uh, shouldn't someone have yelled at Rosario to run to first?

He shouldn't need to be told. A major leaguer should know that already.

[VATwinsFan]

I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt that he didn't see the ball get away.  Which is probably a stretch.

[PDX Twin]

Nobody can!

[operation mindcrime]

Crom needs to come through here!

[IndyTwinsFan]

Crom needs to come through here!

He does. But I don't see it happening.

On the verge of squandering yet another scoring opportunity.

[VATwinsFan]

So explain to me again how you can have guys on second and third with no outs and not score?

[LaBombo]

Cron vs. any righty is a good bet to prove you correct ...  .231/.291/.416

[operation mindcrime]

Kip Winger now pitching for Cleveland!

[IndyTwinsFan]

So explain to me again how you can have guys on second and third with no outs and not score?

It basically defies logic.

[operation mindcrime]

What a terrible strike call!

[PDX Twin]

Three inches out side.

[Nine of twelve]

One of the worst strike calls by any umpire at any level.

[VATwinsFan]

Well, that was another deflating inning.

[LVTwinsfan]

Wow, good call

[notoriousgod71]

That's some good umping right there.

[IndyTwinsFan]

Even though a VERY bad strike call, I could basically see that coming.

[ScooterDance]

FREE LANCE DIAZ from ever umping again

[Nine of twelve]

Three inches out side.

More like 13.

[ashbury]

Umpires who reward the pitcher for hitting where the catcher set up, rather than if the ball crosses the strike zone, irritate me no end.

[Blake]

That was unreal.

[PDX Twin]

Please, can we all agree that balls and strikes should be called correctly by a reliable machine?

[Blake]

Umpires who reward the pitcher for hitting where the catcher set up, rather than if the ball crosses the strike zone, irritate me no end.

It doesn't bother me so much if a pitcher is getting borderline calls but that pitch was about 4 borderlines outside.
