Oh, I absolutely don't think he'd be able to do 162 games at his age, but he's still go it up there. But then again, some guys can just keep going forever ... Scully was 88 (I think) when he hung it up.

I almost don't want to mention this, but Angel Hernandez has done a nice job at the plate. So far.

 

I suspect that the players know the umpires very well by reputation. Would the Twins be swinging at close pitches (and maybe hitting them the other way) just because he is behind the plate?
