This year's World Series ends on October 30th! I'll be happy come Halloween to be rid of Gibson for good!!!!!!

Me three, man. Enough of this guy already.

I don't think people know how good Kyle is, generally. He has the 40th lowest ERA among all MLB qualified pitchers, and top 30 fWAR.

And, he gives up a double while i'm typing.

I don't think people realize how hard pitching is in this live ball era.

My perception of Gibson is he does very well against below .500 competition and gets exposed against good teams. I have no data to back up this perception.

Bad managing? Has Baldelli even had the opportunity to make a mistake yet? I don't like Adrianza over Cron, but that's just nitpicking at this point.

is it?

I dont even care for Cave, but he should be in RF, Cron at first. This infield defense is bad enough without making things worse, all for the benefit of Adrianzas bat over Cron.

Hey, Rocco, you basically screwed up any chance of winning Tuesday and Wednesday by leaving the starter in too long to get shelled.  You gonna do the same thing with the starter tonite?

66 pitches. He has to go 6, right? Regardless of what happens?

If he can keep the runs against total to 4, I'd say yes. Does not seem promising though.

The guy with the Las Vegas Knights avatar asked this a week or two ago, and I'll pull the stats up again:

Players on team .500 or worse: .228/.271/.355 (.626 OPS)

Players on team better than .500: .277/.355/.460 (.816 OPS) (not including tonight's game)

He seems to give up more walks to the better teams. However, fun fact, he's given up 9 HRs to the "bad" teams and just 8 to the "good" ones.

I don't mean to be negative, I really, really don't.  This is the best season we've had in 10 years and it's not even close and has been a TON of fun.

But between the last two Atlanta games and the start of the game today, you would have zero idea that this team is smack dab in the middle of heated pennant race. Literally playing for the division right now.

No sense of urgency, no energy. Bad defense. Terrible pitching, etc. etc.

Adrianza is arguably worse against RHP than Cron. Especially when you consider the power threat.

Awesome thanks! That helps confirm the ol' eye test for me.

Yup, i am enough of a Blade Runner fan to catch that.

Just wasn't clever enough to respond in kind satisfactorally.

(a taste of my own medicin, so to speak)

Fellow who wrote Old Man's War also had a title that played on that phrase, no?

Big fan of Old Man's War and the two books that followed in that trilogy.  Mowed thru the final book in less than a week.

If someone as grindingly positive as OM has given up on Gibby then he may have lost his last fan ☹️

This is really disappointing.

I really thought this team would be up for this game and, instead, they're flat.

Uggh.

One of the first sentences uttered in the pregame show tonite was that this team's mantra all season is that no one game is bigger than any other and that they prepare the same way for all of them.

What’s our record when scoring first?

I think FSN listed it as something along the lines of 56-18.  It was Morneau's only Pizza Ranch ways to win...or whatever their tag line on that sponsor element is.

Cruz coming out. Can we press the restart button like I used to do when losing to my brother in Nintendo?

Cruz...oh man. I can't imagine an IL trip will be helpful to this team. Disaster.

Imagine Cron will DH here. Yep.
