twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 Now's the time Jake. …..or not.
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 Jaylin Davis would've got the job done!
bighat Verified Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 We're going to be thrilled or heartbroken at the end the night, boys and girls. That's baseball. Sure is nice to be playing meaningful games. There have been too many years that, by this point, there are only a handful of people watching. We're on the edge of our seats and it's an August 5th Interleague game.
Krabby5 Verified Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 He passed the eye and stat test last year in 309 PAs compared to this year's 105 PAs. He does have a tendency to make some bone-headed plays in the outfield, I'll give you that. Or how about this? 2019 Marwin Gonzalez first 110 PAs of the year: .200/.277 (.553 OPS)2019 Jake Cave first 103 PAs: .198/.320 (.623 OPS)He’ll never stay in the Bigs. Gonzalez sucks too...what’s your point?
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 Now's the time Jake.Time to catch his flight back to Rochester!!!!!
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 In all reality the bullpen gave up 2 singles and the Braves get 2 runs across. Should have been 2 errors and a passed ball. That cannot happen. It doesn't excuse Duffey for hanging the first pitch he threw to Donaldson, but damn help your pitchers out guys.Funny how that gets lost in the diatribes against the pen. That inning was more about poor defense than poor pitching, Duffy's hanger not withstanding.
BD57 Verified Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 IMO, we're not fielding our best defensive team (1st base & right field) and that passed ball was just flat sloppy ... play solid defense & we're out of that inning with the lead. But, of course, that's not where we're at. May is overthrowing something awful.
tvagle Verified Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 You Rang....this win is now in the Lurch?
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 Lead off walk. Interesting strategy
70charger Verified Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 So frustrating to watch. I hope he has a short leash.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 Leadoff walk to start the 8th. Im sure that won't hurt at all
BD57 Verified Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 May just never looks like he's in balance ... what's the deal with that?
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 I guess we see why May has thrown 1 pitch in the last week.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 So frustrating to watch. I hope he has a short leash. There’s literally no one else.
twinssporto Verified Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 Cave rhymes with bad decision making. The Braves don't Cave.
David HK Verified Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 Cripe. I agree with the poster a couple of days ago. He needs a fine for walking the leadoff man. No excuse.
bighat Verified Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 30 year-old Trevor May and his career 5.00 ERA looks exactly like who he is. Not sure why this guy keeps getting chances - guess when you're branded a 'high potential" guy you can make a nice living off that.
MMMordabito Verified Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 Here we go ... May in to raise everyone's BP
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 Curve ball in the middle of the plate to an aggressive Donaldson. Inherited runner scored.Donaldson owns Duffey, didnt get that move
Krabby5 Verified Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 Well..the Indians lost...so that means the Twins probably lose, right?
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 He’ll never stay in the Bigs. Gonzalez sucks too...what’s your point?I thought Twins Daily held Marwin in higher regard... but perhaps not!
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 May just hit 100 on the gun??????
BD57 Verified Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 That was better ... don't know what changed, except he seemed to settle some.
