Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 Missing the playoffs is a very real scenarioSure, anything is possible, but after tonight the Twins have literally the weakest schedule in baseball through the end of the season.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 How is nobody warming? I get everyone is spent but are we just conceding? It’s the 4th! Kinda looks like Jake is taking one for the team. How long that means is hard to say.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 Now we just look like chumps on national TV.
David HK Verified Member Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 How is nobody warming? I get everyone is spent but are we just conceding? It’s the 4th!There have been a few posts about this lately- esp. in regard to May being left out there the other night. Wondering if Rocco is trying to make a point to the FO

TribeAZ13 Provisional Member Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 Meanwhile, Cleveland gets 4 more games at KC after tonight.while minny get chi sox, miami and kc next, but i feel ya
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 We get CWS, who aren't great either. Indians have 4 against KC, 3 against HOU, and 3 against LA. Indians probably go 7-3 at best. Twins have 4 CWS, 3 MIA, and 3 Royals. Twins should go 7-3 at worst. I expect the Twins to make up at least two games over the next 10 games.
Krabby5 Verified Member Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 Holy hell..now the indians fly to play the royals for 4 games? Amazing. I’m guessing their schedule from august on ramps up?
David HK Verified Member Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 My God, Jake is throwing BP out there. Fat, fat, and flat.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 At this point, I'm literally impressed that Cave didn't turn around and throw that ball into the seats.

VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 4th inning and Hicks is up for the third time. ...and everyone in their lineup has a hit.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 Are we still testing out the market or?

ashbury Verified Member Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 Two ‘likes’ equal an ‘unlike’ from my experience, so be careful with that.I like tonight's game. I like tonight's game.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 Has gregorious had to even move his feet in the box this whole series?
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 Holy hell..now the indians fly to play the royals for 4 games? Amazing. I’m guessing their schedule from august on ramps up?It does. After the Royals: AstrosAngelsRangers@MinnesotaBoston@Yankees That takes them through the middle of August. Good luck with that, kids. Three weeks without a facing a single team under .500 as of today.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 Odorizzi is getting the shaft. Baldelli is going to sacrifice him. His ERA will be over 4 by the end of his night.
HawksNest Verified Member Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 Just a complete debacle. Onto Chicago!

Tom Froemming Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 How is nobody warming? I get everyone is spent but are we just conceding? It’s the 4th!Yes. Rogers and Duffey have pitched three of the past four nights, Harper three straight. Stashak just threw 30 pitches last night. Thorpe 39 the night before that. I'd think the only three guys they really feel OK about using right now are May, Smeltzer and Torres.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 Those 2 IP by Stashak with 0 runs on 4 hits are looking real good all of a sudden.
Otto von Ballpark Old-Timey Member Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 Provus just said that Perkins tweeted that last nights loss was his fault. The idea being that Terry Ryan was so smitten after the HR Perkins gave up to Murphy in 2015 that Ryan thought it would be a good move to trade Hicks for him. Any Twiterer got that link? Sounds pretty funny, even if sad and perhaps partially true. It's real, and it's fantastic: https://twitter.com/glenperkins/status/1153882953392504832?s=20

Wtf is the point of having a long relief/starter if you don’t use him like 6 batters ago?
David HK Verified Member Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 Odorizzi is getting the shaft. Baldelli is going to sacrifice him. His ERA will be over 4 by the end of his night.Deservedly so.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 10 hits, 2 walks, 9 earned in 4. Hey..... his K ratio is super with 7!
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 Isn’t smeltzer a starter? Wtf is the point of having a long relief/starter if you don’t use him like 6 batters ago? You're not going to get more than ~50 pitches out of him, maybe 60, tops. That should get them through the seventh, at best.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 Had to let Jake finish the inning. You aren't winning this game, so no reason to pull him. Smeltzer will give us three innings. Torres 2, and May one. We will have two more pitchers up here tomorrow, probably Poppen and Romero.
