Game Thread "Sam" Twins vs. Mariners 7:10pm dst 6/12/2019 ad

I'll admit that Miguel Sano is faster than he looks, but that was kinda stupid. The LF was charging hard on a very fast grounder. Not the time to challenge his arm, unless his name is Ben Revere...

Despite Marwin's streakiness at the plate, he does seem to have a clutch-factor to him.

Alright, that's our second out in two games trying to stretch a single (or error) into a double. Outs on the bases like that always annoy me to no end, so no more, please. Take first and let the next guy hit you over.

[DocBauer]

Wait, what? Morin throws a couple pitches for 1 out and is pulled? Not a knock on May, but what?

[bighat]

Here's May again. Still not sold on this guy. Baldelli basically using him to see if this guy can stay on the roster when the Twins trade for bullpen talent? At this point it seems like he's being tested and the Twins are doing their best to take a look at / showcase his value. Maybe he's a potential trade piece going back somewhere?

[snotboogie]

Well boys and girls, it is way past my bedtime.  Have a late chicken dinner, please.  I will be at Target Field tomorrow afternoon.  It will be glorious.

Have a good time dude!

[FLTwinsGuy]

Trevor sucks

[LaBombo]

Can we pre-order some insurance runs even if we don't have the lead yet?

[Aggies7]

Trevor may, the not ready for the 8th/9th inning guy

[mrtwinsfan]

May was the last guy i thought we would see tonight ??  Weird

Unless the Twins are up 10-3.

[DocBauer]

Damnit! May used to have a nice breaking ball he trusted. Where is that? Love what Johnson has done so far, but May should be a pet project. Find his breaking ball again and you could really have something.

Maybe he can find it in Rochester or another organization or Japan!!!!

[mickeymental]

... or trevor may not.

I used to think Trevor May would develop into a star pitcher. He never developed enough command to get there. Twins should seriously consider getting rid of him. Live arm minus command equals not very good. See: Samuel Deduno.

May struggling with control but I have faith he will figure it out eventually.

[BattleYourTailOff]

Anyone else wanna pretend May hasn’t been lucky and is a solid option? Yeah. I thought so.

[HawksNest]

May has had ZERO command of any of his pitches this year. Really frustrating because I think he has the stuff to be good, but my goodness...come on.

This entire inning is happening because he can't throw his breaking ball for a strike. Teams just sit fastball and crush it.

I'd rather have Deduno!!!

[Aggies7]

Another 0-2 hit allowed. How is that still a thing?

[curt1965]

Rocco trying to prove a point that they have no relief, other than Rogers, and when he is hurt, forget it.

How many pitches did May throw the last 2 nights-50?

[Pius Jefferson]

Unless the Twins are up 10-3.

He's still likely to give up 4 runs and force the better relievers to pitch.

[FlauerPauer]

Rats. Trevor just hates throwing strikes.

[DocBauer]

What's that sound? Phones of out of contention teams ringing with a Minneapolis area code in the caller ID?

[nicksaviking]

I just returned from dealing with the kids.

The mood here seems.....icier?

[HawksNest]

This bullpen has 1.5 trustworthy arms...Roger and a half of Harper (not ready to fully commit to him given his small sample size).

Honest to God, I just assume at this point that if any reliever other than Rogers enters the game in even a borderline high leverage spot, they will give up a run.  It's like clockwork.

He just doesnt trust his breaking ball right now. At all!

[Aggies7]

Just an ugly game all around
