70charger Verified Member Posted June 5, 2019 Posted June 5, 2019 With one out in the top of the third, just following the Boomstick bomb, we are now at 5-1 good guys. This has been a Circus Boy update.
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 5, 2019 Posted June 5, 2019 Is anyone still concerned that Nelson needs to shake off the rust?
LaBombo Verified Member Posted June 5, 2019 Posted June 5, 2019 Miguel looks good at third this year so far. It's funny you should say that becaus he's having the kind of start at the plate where you could just cross your fingers and hope that his defense isn't so bad that you're forced to consider sitting Cruz or Cron to get his bat in the lineup. Instead, he's looked solid enough that at times it's hard to believe that he's the same guy who as a rookie was thought by many to be doomed to quickly tumble down the RF/1B/DH end of the defensive spectrum.
70charger Verified Member Posted June 5, 2019 Posted June 5, 2019 454 foot home run for Buxton. Damn. That's a blast.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted June 5, 2019 Posted June 5, 2019 Can I get a CBU? Been slaving over the grill. Riverbrian, if you’re here I had potrtobellos, peanutbutter and honey but no hotdogs. Opportunity missed. Maybe it was a server glitch that dropped the word "kale" from your meal description.
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted June 5, 2019 Posted June 5, 2019 Cleveland BP coach, "OK you guys, any volunteers?" (crickets chirping)
snotboogie Verified Member Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 Maybe it was a server glitch that dropped the word "kale" from your meal description.Replace kale with turnips and you nailed it.
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 454 foot home run for Buxton. Damn. That's a blast. That's a Chevelle!!!!!
mickeymental Verified Member Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 panic? don’t panic? i’m so confused!
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 Perez reminds me of when the Twins signed Ramon Ortiz. Everyone hated the signing and said it was a typical Twins signing. Ortiz spun of a month's worth of good starts (Perez has sustained it longer), and then Ortiz fell apart like everyone assumed he would. At some point, the resemblance will start to fade for you, right? Will it take until he gives his HOF acceptance speech?
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 Blanton and Jeanmar Gomez it is!Why would we want them?
gil4 Verified Member Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 Maybe it was a server glitch that dropped the word "kale" from your meal description.Definitely a feature, not a bug.
gil4 Verified Member Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 At some point, the resemblance will start to fade for you, right? Will it take until he gives his HOF acceptance speech? Maybe
jz7233 Provisional Member Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 Perez has not been effective lately.
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 Miguel looks good at third this year so far.If you're referring to the groundout that retired Roberto Perez, that's always been a play that Sano excels at. Something slow on the ground, he's aggressive, and then makes use of the cannon arm.
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 5 runs aren't going of be enough. We're on pace for 15!!!
LaBombo Verified Member Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 I was just going to say it would nice if Cruz got a hit. Nelson Cruz, destroyer of fastballs and interstate telepath to boot.
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 Bremer right on top of the Wild Pitch call. Except... Passed Ball (to which I say, Concur).
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 Perez’s body language has been as bad as his pitching recently.
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 panic? don’t panic? i’m so confused!Me too. Again. Or still. I don't know.
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 At some point, the resemblance will start to fade for you, right? Will it take until he gives his HOF acceptance speech? He will be the guest speaker of many a player from this era.
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 Not a good pitch, not good contact on the swing, net result... single through the hole. Baseball.
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 I think he was out but too close to burn the review request.
Blake Verified Member Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 This is just sad. Have Cleveland on the ropes and let them up off the mat. Maybe time to rethink shifting Cleveland for the balance of this game?
