MVP Nick Punto Verified Member Posted May 23, 2019 Posted May 23, 2019 His uncle owns the Cleveland Indians, and has publicly spoke about not being able to "afford" their best player (Lindor) a couple years before he even hits free agency.Well, why would you want to inspire confidence in your fanbase, clubhouse, or potential free agent pool?

ashbury Verified Member Posted May 23, 2019 Posted May 23, 2019 Angels fans: "That's not that CJ Cron, is it??"The panel would also have accepted, "Didn't you used to be CJ Cron?"
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted May 23, 2019 Posted May 23, 2019 I like that Cron is visibly agitated at not getting his sixth hit.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted May 23, 2019 Posted May 23, 2019 I know the context he meant it in, but on that last run-scoring single, Bremer said "... and just one run will score". And I couldn't help but think, how many weeks in the past nine seasons have the Twins struggled to score 16 total runs?
MVP Nick Punto Verified Member Posted May 23, 2019 Posted May 23, 2019 .63 miles totalHey, that's a kilometer! (brought to you by Maximilian Kepler)
Blake Verified Member Posted May 23, 2019 Posted May 23, 2019 Just checking in and I see that we still need insurance runs. Were you an umpire at one point in your life? Because that's not the way I see it....
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 23, 2019 Posted May 23, 2019 Ok, you got me. This actually happened to a friend instead of me, but the joke works better if I tell it in the first person... Never pays to be too hip for the room.
ScooterDance Provisional Member Posted May 23, 2019 Posted May 23, 2019 Still got something to ply for here. Clean sheet in the 9th and the twins will lead the majors in run differential.

I think there have been entire series the last few years 16 runs would have been considered a luxury.
glunn Community Moderator Posted May 23, 2019 Posted May 23, 2019 The insurance run made for a nice even number.
MVP Nick Punto Verified Member Posted May 23, 2019 Posted May 23, 2019 Still got something to ply for here. Clean sheet in the 9th and the twins will lead the majors in run differential.Really? I'd have thought the odds of that would be astronomical!
Han Joelo Verified Member Posted May 23, 2019 Posted May 23, 2019 Just got out of a really boring meeting. What'd I miss? Ok, I already saw. Cripes. Never thought I'd feel bad for opposing teams like I have this year.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 23, 2019 Posted May 23, 2019 Probably good since the Twins don't have a closer.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted May 23, 2019 Posted May 23, 2019 I love effort, but we're up by almost two TD's again, Max.
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted May 23, 2019 Posted May 23, 2019 Naturally, Kepler leaves during this game. Hopefully it's precautionary.
