Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 So when does the “getting fat on bad teams” thing start? Frauds again?
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 Eric bleeping Sogard. Another nobody who has the series of his life against the Twins.
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 I sure hope all these pitching prospects we've been hearing about the last two years start showing up and contribute something.
John Kelsey Verified Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 Rough start for Big Mike, is it asking too much to get 5 1/3 out of Ryne Harper?
wavedog Verified Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 A summary of the top of the 4th in no particular order - Sogard crushed a fat high pitch - a couple of bloops went in, Smoak smoked one, a walk and there was a sharp grounder right to where a 2nd baseman is normally positioned but we were in a shift with 3 fielders on that side - just not one where the ball was hit. Maybe we get to see a little more of Harper today and we can come back.
twinsbaby Verified Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 Did anyone think our defense got worse this year?
WLFINN Verified Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 thinking the Blue Jays will need more than 6 to win this one today.. lets go get em boys!
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 I always made chicken cordon blue for dates I wanted to impress. Super easy, but looks hard to make.
John Kelsey Verified Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 Called strike on La Tortuga??!?!?! How many times has that happened this year?
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 I always made chicken cordon blue for dates I wanted to impress. Super easy, but looks hard to make.Plus it's really good and very easy to pair with wine! Nice call!
bighat Verified Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 Dang, Buxton JUST missed a HR there. Too bad Astudillo couldn't score there, but Bux hit the ball too hard!
bighat Verified Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 When's the last time Max delivered when the Twins needed a big hit?
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 Yeah I'm not using Pinterest again for meal ideas... I should have clarified... don't use pinterest… ever...
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 Buxton is really being consistent. No complaint... but he is hitting it harder than Mauer Power this year - just short of going out. I like the doubles tons..... but hopefully the extra 20 pounds and launch angle starts putting those doubles out of the park.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 Encouraging that Harper didn't add to his excessive (5 so far is it?) inherited runners scored total.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 Can someone tell me when these excessive shifts actually worked instead of created hits this year?
WLFINN Verified Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 Encouraging that Harper didn't add to his excessive (5 so far is it?) inherited runners scored total.Yeesh... tough crowd
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 Harper doing pretty well so far today. Get one more inning out of him?
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 Called strike on La Tortuga??!?!?! How many times has that happened this year? Believe it or not, that was the first one. Or at least the first pitch fangraphs deemed in the zone that he did not swing at.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 Alright. Heart of the order and Clay getting wild. Time to score 5 runs.....
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 Good outing from Harper. I think he has a chance to stick in the role that he has. I like him better than Magill.
bighat Verified Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 Buchholz been living on the edge all day, seems like the Twins continue to miss opportunities to make him pay. Twins have continuously had 2 men on and 2 out and can't get the big hit. And here we are again in that same situation.
Blake Verified Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 I always made chicken cordon blue for dates I wanted to impress. Super easy, but looks hard to make.Good ribyeyes, decent rub, baked potatoes and a veggie or salad and you're good to go. K.I.S.S.
bighat Verified Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 Wow, swinging at a hot garbage ball 4 pitch there Gonzo. Ugh, another instance of Twins stranding guys out there. Same old broken record.
drock2190 Verified Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 Fastball right down the middle missed and swinging at fastball a foot above the dirt. Marwin should be pissed.

twinsbaby Verified Member Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 We need to continue to get on base to get a big hit. We need to win this ball game to catch Indians.
Marek Houston Wichita Wind Surge - AA SS Houston went 3-for-4. He's hitting .333/.415/.505 (.920) since joining the Kernels. He added his fifth and sixth doubles. Explore Marek Houston News >
