That took some guts to let Gibson rack up 120 pitches while having to face Betts, Benintendi, and Martinez.

[Blake]

Blyleven is probably smiling from ear to ear right now.

That was incredible, Mr. Gibson!

And, kudos to you, Mr. Molitor, for letting Mr. Gibson go out for the 8th.

[operation mindcrime]

Serious question, is it legal to throw this many pitches?

When Molitor goes to Cooperstown this weekend I hope he never returns!

[sampleSizeOfOne]

I set you up nicely

Should i rest on my laurels or return the favour?

[VATwinsFan]

So I ask the question again, what was the point of having Rodney pitch yesterday with a 6 run lead?

[Blake]

Is this advertising for Gibson or is Molitor actually trying to win the game? You decide.

Yes.

[Hosken Bombo Disco]

We have to keep Gibson. He's the guy that can go into New York or Boston and not get rattled.

POTN !!

[Han Joelo]

Wow.  Gibson has planted his flag.  That was, in my opinion, an ace-like outing--the kind that lifts a team up, not just by limiting runs, but through leading by example.

[Squirrel]

...um...

Yeah ... I just reread that. I should've read that before posting.

[wabene]

Gibby!!! You have arrived my friend

[wabene]

Gibby!!! You have arrived my friend

[tvagle]

Love Gibson being pumped up...maybe, just maybe act like you've done it before...especially on July 26th

[mrmpls]

A run or 3 would be nice here

[Danchat]

So I ask the question again, what was the point of having Rodney pitch yesterday with a 6 run lead?

Molly would probably say "to keep him fresh". Y'know, always gotta make sure everyone but Magill gets enough reps.

[Squirrel]

DOUBLE STANDING OVATION FOR GIBBY!!!!

I think he deserves a 'Touch 'em all!' standing ovation.

[LaBombo]

Given Molitor's odd reliever usage decisions, I think maybe... both?

[wabene]

There is no way I would trade Gibby rite now. The kind of pitcher you build around

Gibson was excellent, but there seemed to be a collective failure on the part of baserunners and middle management to grasp the time-space continuum as it relates to advancing from third to home.

LOL!

Best quote of the year!

[mrmpls]

Big Game Gibson!

Warming up...getting the walks and hits used up...he has an appointment tonight...needs to visit Boston Harbor as part of nationalization contract he signed last week

[Aggies7]

Looks like it’s gonna be a 1 run lead for FRE. I’ll keep drinking

[Mill1634]

What would be the more calm experience, Gibson at 120 pitches, or FRE?

[Aggies7]

What would be the more calm experience, Gibson at 120 pitches, or FRE?

Gibson, but zero chance of that

[LaBombo]

Yeah ... dripping is far better than oozing ... oh, the images ...

[Foghorn Leghorn]

Rod dog time.

[mrmpls]

Bremar= Buckle up. spot on Richard

[Han Joelo]

Wait, the Twins get another crack at Eovaldi on Sunday?  Nice trade, Boston.

So I ask the question again, what was the point of having Rodney pitch yesterday with a 6 run lead?

1) There were few options left

2) He only threw 15 pitches. He’ll be fine.
