Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2018 Posted May 27, 2018 Indians and Tigers both won today.Honestly, good. The only way this club should watch the playoffs is on their sofas.

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted May 27, 2018 Posted May 27, 2018 At 6 games under, scoreboard watching has gone back to being uninteresting for me again. There’s no need to scoreboard watch, the Twins offense so seldom changes it.
jtkoupal Verified Member Posted May 27, 2018 Posted May 27, 2018 Absolutely putrid offense. Cleveland won today and the Twins lose ground again. The Twins can't take a step forward without taking more steps backwards. The outlook is getting gloomier and gloomier by the day. The Good News: The vast majority of games left on the Twins schedule are against non-contending teams. The majority of the schedule to this point has been against contending teams. They play the Royals 19 times, the Tigers 16 more times, and the White Sox 14 more times. The Indians are mortal, and we play them 17 more times. Those 17 games will mostly determine the fate of the AL Central. However, Cleveland is starting to heat up despite their crappy bullpen, so watch out.

jimmer Verified Member Posted May 27, 2018 Posted May 27, 2018 Did you implement some sort of no summer fun rule? No, I found out I have cancer. So I have surgery on the 8th to remove a lypmh node then, when I heal from the surgery, I do 6-7 weeks of radiation and chemo.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 28, 2018 Posted May 28, 2018 No, I found out I have cancer. So I have surgery on the 8th to remove a lypmh node then, when I heal from the surgery, I do 6-7 weeks of radiation and chemo. So, your oncologist has implemented the no summer fun rule. I've never met an oncologist with a sense of humor. Seriously, I'm sorry to hear that Jimmer. Thank You for telling us so we can send our thoughts and prayers your way. I'm not an expert but the best advice that I can give you is: Become an expert. You don't need a doctorate. Just arm yourself with all the knowledge you can, that way you don't hand yourself 100% over to others. Be self-reliant, Be informed and be a full participant in what comes next.

Man, I come back to check in on results, the Indians are down 8-3 in the 8th, Berrios is pitching on his birthday, the magic 8 ball predicts victory, all things are pointing in the right direction. And now I see the Indians lose, Berrios pitches a great game, but the Twins still lose, and jimmer has cancer! (And no, I’m not in any way saying there is any equivalence in these different facts.)
