I dare you to point to anyone else who's written a poem as an opener.

What's wrong with poems?

They usually make for poor riddles.

Unless this is middle earth.

Off to a great start, guys!

P.S. Dozier swinging at the first pitch is one of the laundry list of reason why I've always not liked him in the leadoff spot.

I pay several hundred for MLB extra innings and they play the ****ing Yankees where it’s suppose to be the Twins game???

Insult to injury. Not only is it not the Twins but it's the franchise which must not be named.

For a 21 year old catcher! No matter what this young man winds up doing this is the best deal Falvine have ever made. To get anything more than a used puck bag for Hughes is a coup.

The Twins gave up the 74th pick in the draft as well.

Buxton back in the lineup, whew! Son, the wall always wins, and the team needs you on the field. Stop taking so many runs at the wall:

1. Brian Dozier ® 2B

2. Max Kepler (L) RF

3. Miguel Sano ® DH

4. Eddie Rosario (L) LF

5. Eduardo Escobar (S) 3B

6. Logan Morrison (L) 1B

7. Ehire Adrianza (S) SS

8. Bobby Wilson ® C

9. Byron Buxton ® CF

1. Guillermo Heredia ® CF

2. Ben Gamel (L) LF

3. Mitch Haniger ® RF

4. Nelson Cruz ® DH

5. Kyle Seager (L) 3B

6. Ryon Healy ® 1B

7. Chris Herrmann (L) C

8. Gordon Beckham ® 2B

9. Andrew Romine (S) SS

Wonder when Denard will get in a game. In this morning's Strib he didn't sound overjoyed to leave T/St. P. I'm sure he appreciates the increased likelihood of postseason baseball but I can see how he was looking forward to spending the rest of his career at home.

Edit: I see he has not been placed on Seattle's 25-man yet.

Rosario! Gets on base hitting a bad pitch. Classic--bad ball hitters swing at a pitch they think they can hit no matter whether it's in the strike zone or not. And then scores from first on a double. Another example of why he's my favorite player on this roster.

Not only that, but it's a team that's nationally televised on a seemingly daily basis.

I love the idea because I'd be sure to win the competition.

So this confirms that your wife doesn't have a TD account?

gophers also take the lead...

Ranked 11th! No other true northern school in the top 25. John Anderson is one of the best coaches in D-I, period.

They got a catcher named Janigson Villalobos as well as $6.5M. He played in rookie ball for SD last year.

I wish both Phil Hughes and Janigson Villalobos the best.

I also wish the 74th pick the best and the 6.5. Million Dollars.

The Twins have scored 35 runs in the last 12 games (the pitchers have given up 37). I'm not a roster rule guru, but why not give Carter and Gordon a chance? Carter will strike out as much as Sano but at least he'll hit an occasional double and HR, which is more than you can say for a majority of the current line-up.

I'm guessing of course but I'd imagine that they will want Carter to get some reps in Rochester for a bit since he has been on the beach for a little while. However, If Mauer is slow to come back and we have another injury. They might consider a call up.

With Gordon... I would do everything it takes to keep him off the 40 man roster until next year... however... If the team continues to hit like it is and Gordon continues to hit like he has.

They may have no choice.

The first pitch to each Twins batter this inning was right down the middle. At least Kepler swung at it, and was almost rewarded.

Good hitting has a way of forcing the issue. I bet he's up later this summer. Would be perfect to get him going at the major league level before he's a starter next year.

Anyone watching the Gophers Purdue in the B1G Ten tourney? Terrin Vavra with a big home run in the middle stages.

HEY!!!

I just noticed that they took the Big Ten Network off my cable package. 633 is no longer there. Haven't looked for it in awhile so I have no idea how long I've been paying my cable bill not to have it.

Scoreboard watch, Indians up 3-2 on the Astros in the 8th, and the Stros score 6 to go up 8-3.

Hope the magic 8 ball is right, would be nice to get a game back today.

Things are Craaaaaaaaaaaaazy at the Jake. Now 8-8 going into the 10th.

I'll be in Minnesota for the last three games of the upcoming Twins/Indians series, so that's good info since that's likely the last bit of fun I'll be having this summer.

Did you implement some sort of no summer fun rule?

I feel like the twins are a little better than our record. 8 walk offs? Basically almost coin flip games? Our pen isn't awful so that seems rough.

Second, we keep waiting for this team to kick it in. Remember what Cleveland did last year? I feel like they think they have us whenever they want. They're probably right. Don't believe we can hang around and then make a run. We're going to have to hit first place before the break in my opinion just to stay close at the end.

Things will get better when Dozier, Sano and Buxton crawl out from under.

Unless he parks the first pitch and then it's pretty cool.  :)

More than a few shows on TV I'd pay money to not ever see again...

They also gave up the 74th pick in the draft.... So no.

Yep. That was more like a Rob Antony booby prize deal.
