Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 The Twins are probably going to need at least 9 runs to win this one.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 Lance Lynn looking more and more like a bust every time I see him.
ewen21 Verified Member Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 If we put a prime Walter Johnson in uniform, would it even matter?
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 At least we'll still have two hours of sunlight by the time I give up on this team tonight.
Dave The Dastardly Verified Member Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 The Twins are probably going to need at least 9 runs to win this one.Double that.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 Apparently the answer between Lynn, Cobb, and Darvish was none of the above... at least for April. Let's take this time to remember that Lynn asked for $20M a year on a multi-year contract. Not that he's a total bust... but we can see why teams were hesitant to pay these starting pitchers gobs of money.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 Thank god stanton looks like the worst batter on the planet right now
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 At least Lynn isn’t walking people.
Blake Verified Member Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 Yeah, even I could read what Lynn said after the Stanton at bat.
John Kelsey Verified Member Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 He got an out! Only 26 more to go.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 At least Lynn isn’t walking people.Yes the hits are much easier to stomach
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 26 pitches. all 2 or 4 seam fastballs except for 3 cutters. That's keeping them off balance.
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 My thoughts on hating the Yankees; I used to hate the Yankees, when they simply bought every player. There was no way the Twins could ever hope to compete against a team that shrugged their shoulders at nine-figure contracts, and laughed and spit on the luxury tax. I no longer hate the Yankees--a team that develops a lot of talent, and makes incredibly shrewd trades, as that's exactly what I would hope the Twins would become. So no, I don't hate the Yankees, but I want to be them oh so bad.
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 Here's a thought--what if tonight we proposed just forfeiting tomorrow's game? We get to rest our bullpen, and we can fly back to Minnesota tonight to prepare for Friday's game against a team we actually have a chance to beat.
ewen21 Verified Member Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 Thank god stanton looks like the worst batter on the planet right nowAnd we have the bottom three in our order tonight
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 I am way past the point of being able to tolerate the annoyed look on Morrison’s face at every called strike or swing and miss
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 Grossman, a career .118 hitter (11-71) against NYY with the 4 pitch walk
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 I haven't been keeping track--is that the first 1-2-3 inning for Twins pitchers this series?
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 Six straight outs by Lynn. This is good.
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 Six straight outs by Lynn. This is good. SHHHHHH!!! You'll jinx him!
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 Here's a question for the Twins Daily tech people; why do spaces not appear in between periods/question marks/exclamation points and the beginning of the next sentence in my post. Example immediately to the left of the word example in this sentence.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 Fun fact: Mauer, Dozier, and Escobar are all hitting .288 at the moment. And they're all going to be free agents once the season is over. Odd.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 Delayed steal wth sano up and a guy struggling to throw strikes
BoofBonser Verified Member Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 Three ball count after three ball count
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 Just catching up. Lynn was pretty unlucky in the first. Two ground balls get through, then one line drive. And this just in: I HATE the Yankees. Hate them with the intensity of a thousand suns, each in super nova, and all in my living room.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 This Gregorius guy is really good...
