wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 Just catching up. Lynn was pretty unlucky in the first. Two ground balls get through, then one line drive. And this just in: I HATE the Yankees. Hate them with the intensity of a thousand suns, each in super nova, and all in my living room.I'm unclear of your true feelings, Chief. Can you elaborate a bit more? And how does Didi's HR change things for you?
FunnyPenguin Provisional Member Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 DONT THROW DIDI THREE STRAIGHT FASTBALLS!!!!
Platoon Verified Member Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 First hamboogie of the year on the grill for supper tonight. 85% lean burger from Schmidt's Meat Market in Nicollet, topped with an organic tomato from the Northfield Food Coop, skids greased with a Grain Belt Nordeast, another Nordeast to wash down the burger... God I love Minnesota!!!! Now if the Twins can whip the Yankees tonight I'll believe I've died and gone to Heaven. If they lose.... What the hell. Just had Schmidts Summer Sausage for a sandwich for lunch, and their ribs for supper tonight. Wonderful place, great products, and great service.

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 I was sitting in my usual spot earlier this afternoon...having a beer at my usual neighborhood bar after work. There were two medical students next to me, and I was sort of eavesdropping, listening to them "diagnose" every patron. Someone would walk in, they'd watch, and then discuss what was wrong with the person. And there was SOMEthing wrong with everyone, it seemed. Eventually, an old man (imagine that...old in MY eyes) walked in, legs apart, shuffling, a look of discomfort on his face. "Pelfy Syndrome," said the first med student. "You can tell by the shuffle." "Don't think so," said the other. "Skyatski's Miasma. Look at his face, and the legs far apart." They argued a bit, and finally went to ask him. "Sir," said the first. "Excuse me, I don't mean to pry, but my friend and I are med students, and we couldn't help notice you as you walked in. Do you by any chance do you have Pelfy Sydrome?" "Nope," said the old man. "You're wrong." "Skyatski's Miasma?" asked the second. "Nope, you're wrong too." "Well then...what DO you have?" "Well...I thought I had gas, but I was wrong too." "
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 Lynn sucks. So far, I’ve yet to see evidence to the contrary
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 In fact, I harbor a soft spot for the Bronx Bombers directly related to the NYC subway system, the crack epidemic and some very bad baseball. Skin tags, milk left on the counter for 4 days, Shrapnel, The DMV, and a low grade fever that just doesn't go away.

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 I wish Mauer would turn on a ball like that once a yr or so.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 0-2 and you nibble nibble nibble to Tyler F-ing Austin 9 homers allowed in not even 4 full games. Shameful

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 Good thing I wasn't able to see that home run. Sitting in a hotel in Des Moines. They have the YES Network but it is blocked due to the completely not understandable blackout rules.

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 I know it’s taboo in 2018, but at what point does someone catch one in the back here?

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 I knew Yankees nation was far reaching, but that's absurd.I believe they coined the term Yankees universe, since the Red Sox first came out with Red Sox nation. So it makes sense

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 Gregorius needs one in the ribs. Had enough of the moonshots followed by dancing.? I believe the kids call it clowning
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 I knew Yankees nation was far reaching, but that's absurd. Tonight it's the "NO" network. Dear MLB, You have recently publicly expressed a need to grow your audiences. Making it easier for fans to watch baseball would be a good place to start. Sincerely, Riverbrian P.S. Uncle... the Twins don't want to play the Yankees anymore. We give up.
