VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 Right down the middle--WHOOSH.
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 Too bad Morrison is up now. "This is the end"You're right, it would have been much better had he gone down on three pitches there.
howeda7 Verified Member Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 Morrison literally has no chance here. Sad.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 First pitch was a ball. Morisson sulks and the at bat is a total waste. Much like his whole season
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 They didn't even feel the need to bring in a lefty to face Morrison
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 Morrison is trying very hard to prove the old saying that there is no such thing as a bad cheap contract wrong....
FormerMinnasotan Provisional Member Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 Can we just send Lynn to AAA and replace him with Aaron Slegers? There is something wrong with Lynn and at this time it makes no sense in trotting out a starting pitcher with an ERA near 8 with no command/control. There is nothing positive starting Lynn any more until his command/control improves. If Lynn can’t be sent to Rochester demote him to the bullpen and call up Slegers anyways. At least there’s hope Slegers can pitch like a decent starter unlike Lynn right now.
OTPS300 Verified Member Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 Morrison could be hitting off a tee and still K or pop out.
howeda7 Verified Member Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 I don’t want to get too far into this argument, but I’d like to hear where on the roster you think the twins are equal or better than the Yankees? That isn't what I'm saying. We're inferior to the Astros too but we play them competitively. Tampa or Detroit would have but up far more of a fight in this series than we have. The talent gap exists. It does not explain this pathetic performance. Not even close.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 So if you’re scoring at home regarding our offseason addition: LoMo: horrendousLynn: brutalOdorizzi: below averageRodney: below averageReed: decent At least we tried

Trust me. You left off kinley.... And that they added Castro

So what was it when we played equally horribly against the rays? More talented than them (I think) and a sweep. One a 10-1 blowout
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 LoMo may be at the point where his batting average is so low that when he gets an out... the average goes up.
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 It would appear Pressly has figured it out...almost 10 of last 13 outs for him have been Ks.

And that they added CastroAs much as I want to blast the FO, we asked for years for them to make moves. The only one I shook my head at was the Rodney signing. The guys have to perform 1,000% more than they have at some point
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 Twins pitchers just keep helping my fantasy team. Didi, and Andujar doing work for me

I want a front office that goes big, like trading for Cole. .. Or Verlander .. And, anyone can make moves. They haven't shown any ability to pick the right pitchers so far. Imo

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 I think I counted 2 guys in our starting lineup tonight that would start over their yankee counterparts. Maybe 2
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 On the lighter side of the news, here's a hilarious clip of Altuve getting the silent treatment after hitting his first home run of the year this evening. https://www.mlb.com/cut4/astros-give-altuve-silent-treatment-after-first-homer/c-273837134
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 The Twins don't have one, let alone multiple MVP caliber players like the Yankees and Astros have. They have one legitimate starting pitcher and maybe two decent relievers. This team is marginally better than last year's team (maybe), and they weren't competitive with the front runners last year. I don't know what would make anyone think this team is in the same conversation as the best in the AL.
Blake Verified Member Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 Had to turn it off. The team looks like it is going through the motions.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 Me neither. Missing on both Stewart and Jay is a killer. Miss soon one, fine. But both? Also, the Yankees are flush with great IFA players. The twins only have them from one year....

I’m starting to think last year was a one month wonder
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 Didi bunts against the shift. He’s embarrassing you.
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 That's smart hitting there. Beautiful bunt, killing the shift. Right in front of Stanton.
