Call me an optimist but I think we're going to see a lot of innings like this one this season.

And we could add one more run if Rosario had run out his popup.

Crooked number on the scoreboard and another pitching change, despite the boneheadery. That's baseball.

Well these last two starts should quiet down the chatter about the studly rotation, for a bit anyway.

I just got home from work, what'd I miss? Are we failing miserably?

Maybe It's Morrison awakening?

I hope that's all he needed, he was awfully happy in the dugout after scoring that run!!!

You still listening to the pirates broadcast? Are these guys awful or what?

I've been floating in and out from listening. What's your Hit Parade of best groaners you've heard from them?

Neverauskas is going to go up there with the other great reliever last names like "Balfour" and "Bummer".

He sounds like what the Grand Poohba advises when asked if a guy should go to the game thread for advice.

Crazy how Rosario cutting down Polanco at the plate turned this game around.

Also, had Dozier not been able to advance on the WP, Rosario's brain cramp would've been a double play, bringing up Sano with two outs & nobody on.

Funny game, this beisbol.

Well, generally just the outward homerism, but I did catch the presumably older guy ask the other if there’s a name for the wavy lines (aka heat) you see by a space heater. I just find them boring and unfunny.

Ferpetesake take advantage of your MLB cable package and turn on the game.

I just got home ... it is on ... Aggies knows I'm just giving it to him because he gave me a challenge :)

I don’t like grossman swinging there on 2-0 after the walk. He also didn’t exactly hustle down the line considering the unpredictable wind

Two of those need to hit one and two.... And Sano has been better than all but one of them. Maybe Buxton and Morrison could get one hit before we get ahead of ourselves....

Which is why I said "as the season goes along". Morrison will hopefully come around soon. Buxton has struggled a little but also had some bad luck with hard outfield liners getting snagged. Kepler is looking really good. It'll be hard to keep those last two out of the top 6 spots at some point.

Of course Sano is making me look dumb here now, which which is cool with me (and I'm plenty used to). If he can somehow keep hitting (and running the bases!) like this I'm more than happy with him at #3. It just seems too flukey with his strikeout frequency. Something has to give.

And both Buxton and Morrison troll me with doubles....

I hope they continue trolling you, too

I love doubles. Scotch, Bourbon, Gin...

Almost a George Thorogood song.

Just made a double. Tequila, mezcal, grapefruit juice, splash of Cointreau, bitters. Some soda. Needs more alcohol....

Well ... if nothing else ... I hope this game's weather is preparing them for the next 3 in Minnesota.
