Back in 1973... One good show would give the network the entire night because nobody wanted to actually get up and change the channel. 

 

Not a problem at our house. Ashburydad would say "ashburyjohn, change it to CBS," and seconds later it would happen.

Sounds like our house.  When remote controls came out my dad was having no part of it.   He said " I hope I never get so lazy that I won't make the effort to tell one of my kids to go change the channel."
