I'm just watching the game's boxscore, so I've had to imagine all of the chaos and hijinx Rosario has been causing the past few innings...

Summary of my Rosario reactions today:

"Yeah!  Way to go Rosie!"

"JFC, are you kidding me, Rosie?"

"JFC, are you kidding me, Rosie?"

"Whew, Rosie.  You lucky moron."

Honestly, about what I expect outta him at this point.

The Pittsburgh announcer’s record is intact. Rosario was out. I have no idea what play the umpires looked at.

There was one angle that I don't think was a sure thing. I just think they didn't feel it was conclusive enough to overturn. And the longer it takes the more likely it's not going to be overturned. (That last one was just me guessing at that. I have no stats to back up that statement.)

Yeah, but he's our lucky, and loveable, moron. :)

"Mean mother, isn't he?"

"Hey-  he can't do that to our pledges!"

"Yeah! Only we can do that to our pledges!"

I feel like the Eddie bashing is coming along a bit strong despite his performance tonight. After all, he did pretty much turn this game around with an outfield assist. Just seems harsh.

The angle they showed on FSN was as conclusive as it gets. He was clearly tagged before his hand reached the bag. Like I said, I have no idea what they looked at in New York but they got it completely wrong. It doesn’t appear that it will be a difference maker in this game, but plays like that give replay opponents fuel.

Well, maybe they had an angle that wasn't shown on FSN?

I make no apologies for criticizing stupidity and or laziness.

Not running out a batted ball is either lazy or stupid, take your pick.

Getting picked off first (I’m aware he was called safe - I can’t help that the call was wrong) with your big HR guy up is also beyond dumb.

Yes, it’s just that the boneheaded moves become less cute as the years go by

I don't think it's exactly dumb, nor is the player. But it is something you don't want to happen, and in this case, it didn't, despite what everyone thinks of the confirmed call.

But he wasn't picked off, whether he was lucky or not, that was the call.

Anyway ... when are you going to sign up to do a game thread this year? I'm gonna hound you, you know.

Look, I'm aware I come across as having 'strong opinions,' 'am full of it,' or whatever you wanna say.  Honestly, my opinions are mostly formed over more than one game, one AB, or one occurrence.  I try to formulate my opinions over a stretch of time.  Jerk, maybe.  But I try really hard not to be knee-jerk.

Rosario is nearly a five-tool talent.  Not much on a beisbol field the guy can't do.  But he drives me crazy with what I perceive to be a lack of focus, at times.  Throwing to the wrong base, air-mailing throws into the seats, bad baserunning, and tonight, not running out a pop-up that could've been a hugely costly mistake.  Physical errors, I can handle.  Everybody makes those.  I find mental errors inexcusable, especially by Major Leaguers.

Isn't there an unwritten rule about sending a runner when it's snowing and you have a 4 run lead?

Yes, the rule is the snow negates every other rule.

I don't for one minute believe they got hits because of that. Rosario is now in four little league plays already this year.

A player putting himself in position to make a bad mental error irritates me only slightly less when he gets bailed out.  Regardless of the outcome of the review, that was bad baseball.

Probably never, seems to be quite an arduous process.

Since it’s the official scorer’s call here who would get the win (assuming the Twins hold on), I wonder if they would give it to Rosario. :)

Bad baseball I'll accept ... it's not something you want to have happen, period. But I prefer not to refer to players as dumb or stupid. <shrug> I'm not admonishing anyone here ... just sayin' what I'm sayin' because it's what I think.

If you can post in a thread, you can post a game thread. I'll get one out of you yet ...

Am I crazy, or is there a sound that sounds like a door opening in the background of the FSN broadcast?

C'mon, even with Chief not present, you know the answer to this one.

Yes.

Rogers was the pitcher when the Twins took the lead.

I think it just wasn't conclusive enough to overturn.

I think the replay system should be tweaked. The replay viewers in New York should not know the call on the field. They should rule safe, out, or inconclusive. Only if they rule inconclusive should the call on the field stand.
